My parents also want me to get a license, but not get a car since insurance is high for "young" males, especially in cali.
This is very true. That said, from what I recall, you have to pay for the license itself, so since there's no real scenario where I personally would need it, it is good to have in case of an emergency. Of course, that said, I've had my Permit for a while now AND have taken a full credit of Drivers Ed, so if there ever was a scenario so dire I needed to drive without supervision, I'm pretty sure knowing how to actually drive would be the least of my concerns. You can get a licence without having yourself registered to a car's insurance policy. The only hazard is if you crash the car and your parents/the car owner isn't with you when it happens, the insurance company will not cover the damages.
Yeah, but I've had performance issues(lololololol...) and I'm worried that if I just go drive I'll crash and die horribly in a fire... nah, I just feel like I need to sort college "things" out before I consider driving.
You know what I hate the most, when someone asks for advice and then they ignore that advice. I don't know if any of you have heard of Yandere Simulator, but gawd damn, it's dev is literally working himself to the bone because he got it in his head that the more money people give him the harder he has to work. He asked his Patreons if he was working too hard (it was 62 hours a week when he originally asked), and we told him to knock it the fuck off and take a break. Instead, he worked harder (currently 84ish hours a week), and know he's asking again if he's working too hard... again....
Maybe he just wanted acknowledgement that people thought he was actually working instead of dismissing his efforts as something he just "did." I agree that it's annoying, but I don't think he had taking a break in mind, or that it was unhealthy. There could also be a cultural difference as to how he responds(though I highly doubt it)
He did state that his health was deteriorating because of his work schedule. Also, we see the work he does from his bi-monthly game updates. Just a few months ago the game was nothing more that a tech demo, now it could almost be considered a real demo.
He is the sole programmer for the game. However, he recently started outsourcing for assets he could not make with the time he was devoting to coding to ensure there was a constant stream of new features every 15 days, and in an effort to speed that effort along, he started accepting volunteers to help build assets for the game. This, of course, backfired, as he then had to go through the torrent of emails from the applicants, and as a result, was left with almost no time to work on yesterday's build. He goes over a lot of this in his most recent video, so just search up YandereDev on Youtube if you want to hear more about it. That said, the one thing he DID implement into yesterday's build was Giffany's Bow. (from Gravity Falls) Even if you have no interest in watching the full show, I HIGHLY suggest checking out the episode she's from; "Soos and the Real Girl". That episode, along with "Fight Fighters," both have really fun takes on video games, and considering the differences in the genres they play off of, there's very little overlap in concept. Plus, in the former, you also get a reference to Showbiz Pizza Place, which was Chuck E. Cheese's competition in the 80's before they merged, so that's always good.
Lol, I actually heard of that episode. It was the one where... there was a girl in the machine that was trying to get to that big guy in real life ... right? In any case, I'm interested in watching the show, but I'm caught up with watching SU and rerunning mlp since I haven't watched a majority of the episodes(except season five and for the most part, season one and two-ish). Yeah, for a "brony," that's pretty bad, or at least I think it is.
Oh man I love Giffany's episode. It might actually be one of my favourites! Speaking of Gravity Falls, I hope it doesn't take too long for the new episodes to get on New Zealand TV... Season 2 had like, half a year's delay And in other news, I wish we had ads like Japan's.
Lol, the dev sounds like another person I know on YouTube. His name is douchebag chocolate and does anime reviews(that aren't too be taken too seriously). Anyways, I'm off to bed, night- or I think it's afternoon right now for some of you-whatever.
Seems the Mods got the trolls before I finished my post talking their ear off. Probably would have wound up feeding them for a bit, so probably for the better. Thanks random, unnamed mod!
Agreed. Though, while the second was clearly trolling, still not entirely sure about the first guy. T'was a loaded question, yet something about it sounded of genuine curiosity. However, that may just be my optimism talking... Ah well, at least I got a good laugh out of the second guy's post.
I know it's way past my sleeping time, but just wanted to say thanks. I deliberately skipped over them in hopes that everyone else would as well, but we're all smart here so I also thank whoever cut them off from here, night.
"So what's happening nowadays?" "Ah, nothing much, just doing the usual things... nothing, registration, and more nothing." "Huh. I thought you'd be doing more than that. Hey, don't you have that Pony thing going on?" "Well yeah, but it's going to be a while till the next episode... (ADHD ensues while he patiently waits) ... so I have nothing to do in the meantime." "Hm, when I have to wait mid-season or an anime series ends, I go usually meet up with friends and talk about it." "F-friends! Yeah, good idea, I'll go talk to them!" (An hour later): And now I'm here.
Hm? Sounds like something happened while I was gone for the weekend. Ah well, whatever. I couldn't find a relevant gif to post in my folder, but this apparently works for everything to here you go:
