To be fair, there are multiple Links from the timeline, the two currently in the game being from Twilight Princess and the Wind Waker trilogy, so having a Link costume makes sensem especially considering it's passed down generation from generation.
But yeah, you are correct. It had been a while since I looked through the outfits, and some of them, like Meta Knight's mask and the Varia Suit Helmet. don't really coincide with my initial statement.
Regardless, don't take y doubt as a lack of desire. I would LOVE to see a Splatoon fighter. There's a lot of possibility, one of which being, of course, a special move that covers the ground around you with ink that slowly hurts enemies as well as makes you faster, and perhaps your other specials more powerful. Still kinda doubt it, but hey, with that new Smash Bros nomination system, who knows?

That Combat Update+ needs to come out soon so we can get the temp server & mumble back up and, hopefully, more populated than before, what with the influx of our returning fellow members. All that's riding on the update~. (also, still love how, even though the next update is supposed to be combat-oriented, we've been getting nothing but furniture and stuff in the more recent news updates. )

Oh gawd, just watched them last night, so awesome.

 

Hey, I watched the first two episodes and it was great(Steven U.)! The backgrounds were ethereal and the characters are different in a good way. It was nice to say the least, so thanks for reminding me to see it- which reminds me that I need to find a DVD case for it or just stream it and pay the studio with an amount they deserve for a DVD release.
