[BBTS] Bronies Beyond the Stars V4.0

One MMO I have been wondering about trying is Final Fantasy XIV. Has anyone here played it? The subscription on top of a purchase price (I think there's still a sub) kinda puts me off, but it might be worth it.

Actually, now that you mention that, I just realized something. Do you get the badge simply for having posted on the 9001th post, or do you have to retain post #9001 somewhere on the forums? That is to say, does it get revoked if one were to, hypothetically, delete post #9001 after receiving the badge? And if they did keep the badge, does that mean that another could, hypothetically, post afterwards to recieve the badge as well?
This is all hypothetical, of course, and will deny any and all charges based on assumed implications should these hypothetical instances be considered against the rules of the forums.

I think the post count (somewhat unfortunately ) continues on even if a post is deleted. So no luck there.

 

I haven't been here for a long time and I haven't gotten a badge, but I'm guessing the title is "Over 9000." Is this right?

I wrote something like this on the back of one of my worksheets in high school for a laugh. Unfortunately, my teachers were freshmen teachers, so they thought I was serious about paying them to give me an A on a test and brought me to the principles office to question me. The situation went down like this, "...You guys, I'm sorry, but I really meant it for laughs and as a joke, not seriously."

"Oh really now, how do we know you're not lying?"

"I would've taped money to the back of the thing if I meant to do it," and made this gesture after I said it to try and persuade them that I was joking... they thought I was serious and talked to my parents until they convinced them that I joked a lot with my other teachers about this in middle school and shouldn't be so pissy about it. I never joked about anything to any other teachers until senior year.

Yeah, you've really gotta get a good read on which teachers you can pull that stuff with ahead of time. And on the off chance doing so leads to issues, the worst thing to do is resort to joking to try and resolve the issue, as it makes you appear as though you aren't taking the issue seriously.
Every school, college, or other education building has one teacher with a dry or cynical sense of humor. The ones that everyone in the school tends to hate because they're sharp and call students out on their B.S. Those are the ones I tend to gravitate towards, as I grew up around that attitude and often find people with that attitude are generally quite fun to strike up a conversation with when they're not in the middle of their lectures.

 

Yep, person who makes the 9001st post in a thread gets it.

 

Don't worry guys, when the 8999 post comes up, I'll post so that the chat doesn't become stagnant.

It doesn't really do anything at the moment. You'll be listed in the OP and be able to get clan medals (which I really should start throwing out, and making more of). In the future, on full release, we should be getting a paid server that will be for members only. And if we ever have contests (anyone interested in an art or writing contest, for example?) those will be for members only.

 

Should the Clan ever actually get it's own server running, it's implied that the server will be white-listed to members only. Otherwise, it just adds you to the member list on the first post.[DOUBLEPOST=1434008363][/DOUBLEPOST]
