On further review, Pinkie Apple Pie is probably the best written episode of season 4, even if I didn't really like it. It's so stupidly clever it makes me sick...

I kinda had low hopes for the season until it happened, so it was indeed a goog one.

 

It was a pretty good season in my opinion, we got a lot of good episodes with only a handful being meh.

 

Also the DBZ and action junk could have been a turn off, despite the quality around it. And Bats!. Never forget...

 

I both liked and disliked the DBZ thing. As for Bats!, worse episode the entire season, the moral was logical or reasonable, it tried to show everyone but Flutters as evil, and only good thing out of it was Flutterbat.

 

I feel like the DBZ thing was a frivolity that wouldn't have damaged the message if it weren't there in the first place. In the uncommon moments where I stop to think about the show I watch, those moments make it even more ridiculous

And yes, I agree Fluttershy was the smelly one of the argument. And I didn't like Flutterbat
