And the sun. The sun invented yellow after all! OH NO. I became a pony two years ago, but I stopped being active here (these forums) until over a year later, after which I shortly joined this thang. What a two years, amirite?
That feeling when one of your favorite fic characters ends up as a character in the show It took a bit for me to realize, but Ginger Snap from "Echo the Diamond Dog" looks nearly identical to Sunset Shimmer.
I'd say their anger is rather similar, but that would be all when it comes to mentality. As for meeting, maybe they're distant cousins? The Snap line was in Canterlot at one point in time...
Wasn't it said that she was the only one good at her brand of magic? There was something about that. If Sunset is feasibly equal to Twilight in power, where would that leave Ginger? So many mysteries...
The Snap line is really only good at elemental magic, Ginger with her fire and her father with his frost magic. They would be considered alpha level magic users, but Twi and Sunset have a more all around magical ability. Both Twi and Sunset could be considered god tiered in magic since they are good a just about any kind of magic, granted they need to practice the spells, but they can and do use magic to it's full potential.
I've headcanoned Sunset using fire magic, personally, while Twilight uses force magic mostly. In a practical world, 'pyromancy' isn't the most useful thing, so maybe it's just kinda dumb if you asked the average pony? That'd explain the rarity.
Pyromancy is quite useful in blacksmithing, which is what Ginger's mom did as a living. I've always figured that a unicorn's magic ability is always based on their cutie mark, which would mean that a unicorn is simply the "totem" for magic and not that there are multiple types of magic. My thought's about Sunset come to this: I kind of have it in my head that ponies with names like Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, or Starswirl have the capability for a larger destiny than what they realize. Consider the fact that all three of those were, at some point in time, Celestia's students, makes me think that they are apart of a predetermined bunch that have the chance at becoming Alicorns, but it is entirely up to them whether they take that path or not.
I didn't even know it existed. I guess I'll play it now, though. Ooh, cool. I'm wondering if I should get it, but I heard that the second half of the game is really repetitive. Also, is anyone watching the anime Nanana's Buried Treasure this season? Nanana was playing Terraria in one scene.
I wrote some heacanons: [link] It is, unfortunately. Before that plot wrench happened, it was fantastic. Squeenix has done with with their other handheld titles too, so I'm not surprised...
Alright, I got it, but I have no idea what I'm doing and the bots keep comboing me. It might be better if I had a controller, I guess.
Don't worry, it took me a few tries, too. First thing, at the very top of the game window is the options. Set A B C and D to keys. These are your attack buttons. E and F so far are for skin choices. A is light B is medium C is heavy D is your 'special ability' Your special ability uses up that gem meter at the end of you magic meter. It differs per character and gives each one their own flare. Just try them all out and see which one you're best with. I clicked with RD on my second time using her, and now I can clear all the CPUs in story mode without losing a stock. EDIT: that sounded cocky--after practice of course. YOU WILL GET THE HANG OF IT I KNOW IT YOU WILL GET BETTER AND BETTER I KNOW IT IF YOU KEEP PRACTICING YOU WILL GET BETTER AND BETTER AS YOU DO IT THUMBS UP EVERYBODY FOR ROCK AND ROLL EDIT: There are people wanting me to draw kawaiivatars but I really can't make myself draw right now--but it makes me feel bad for making them wait D;
It is. They've done this before with The World Ends With You and KH:CoM and KH58/2. I feel like they don't implicitly trust their handheld titles, so try to recycle content as much as possible to be safe. The kicker is that the content is amazing the first pass, but then it grows stale, even if you really love the game. I'm waiting to see, if they really come to pass, what Bravely Second and TWEWY #2 are going to be like. In the meantime, I'll just clean up the Eternia boss rush with this cheap strategy I conceived involving BP Recovery and poisoning my own party constantly.
