Two things. One, for whatever dumb reason, when I joined the 1.0 thread, I completely forgot to say I wanted to join. So yeah, I'm gonna fix that asap.
Two, just out of curiosity, does this group have a server yet, or are we still waiting on one?

 

@Pinkie Pie has something planned, but for now we do not.

 

Waiting for the game to be usable and stable by everyone before any kind of server will be put up.

About the server. I think Zailiner mentioned something about using our clan donations to host a server.

 

It's very early beta and a number of people can't play reliably yet. I'm pretty sure we'll have a server by the second beta stage, though.

 

My friends and I have run a stable enough server through hamachi (though hamachi is a little big laggy) and it ran fine. We didn't encounter any additional bugs that we hadn't already encountered in single player. In single player the worst bug we'd encountered was monsters shoving you into blocks.

 

That last pic alone is great. That it's also a punchline is extra hilarious.

Well, this time around I made it to nearly the bottom of my starter world, which had a ramshackle dungeon of sorts. The use for leather is now cold-weather gear, which is also apparently about as strong as silver armor defense-wise. In a chest I found on my way back up, I finally found a musical instrument, but it's a harmonica...kind of tricky to judge the musics with that. Still, it'll work. Sort of. Also, the hunting knife has been added (avian-style hunting knife viewable in the middle of the below pic) as well as a low chance for meat to drop from non-hunting weapon kills. So there's that.

Lastly, a few more of my screenshots survived this time, so have a single montage pic showing off a few monsters. My favorites are the duck-billed stegosaur and the two-eyed bananapus, and please note the familiar coloration of the snagglegator.

 

Damn, that's lucky. For the first two days my game wouldn't even run, and now it lags intensly whenever a creature comes along. Did I mention a few seconds after I started sleeping the game crashed?

Also, I'd assume that's what the donations would be used for anyways. And I get the feeling that, once the server gets kick-started, donations may be more regular from the people who enjoy the server the most. Could just be talking out my flank though.

My friend (midnight blitz, he's actually already applied to the clan) has been running a server off of his port-forwarded computer since launch and, aside from restarting once for the major update, have run into no problems thus-far. (well, aside from a game-breaking dupe glitch, but I've already reported that, and I wouldn't really call that a problem more than an unintentional exploit)

 

Mine started lagging whenever I come across a human prison, there just too much going on...

 

I think that may be your computer, because it's been running fine, with the exception of server lag, on my end. (flawlessly on SP)

Yet to find ANY human planets. It's all Florans and Glitch where I am. Aside from a Stimpack Merchant Spawner, we have yet to find any randomly generated Human NPCs. (Forever alone/last human 2013)

 

Mine lags in the rain. Drops to about a quarter of normal speed when it rains.

 

Same here. Fix? Just stay out of the rain
