No the game isn't difficult, but the devs are fixing the outright bugs that could attribute to the game being considered difficult and they are going to adjust the pixel cost of items so it doesn't feel as inconsistent as it is right now. Seriously, silver grade armor is cheaper than iron grade, that doesn't make any sense.

 

I am interested if there's anything about mods yet.

 

Probably Not, As The game is going to be shifting so much, you'd probably have to rewrite it every week or so.

Crashed to death, the game doesn't work anymore.

The game crashes frequently for me. The devs are too busy to make the game work on windows XP to worry about the lags and the crashes on other platforms, so we're stuck. But it does get less glitchy if I kill some NPCs.

 

Game's been pretty fun so far. Crashed a couple times, was foolish enough to think one can handle the distress beacon with anything you can craft without leaving the planet you start on.

Found some fancy-pants bone mace that destroys blocks in a decent radius (Upwards of 20 to 24 blocks destroyed when placed under the right conditions), which I've been using to collect any ore veins in dirt, sand, or mud.

Geesus, that isn't something normal. Try turning off steam and restarting it again. If you can't turn off steam because "application is already running", then go to task managers, and stop the starbound*32.exe program.

 

I really did luck out, while I did have the worst bug (the game didn't start at all until I fixed it), I've had barely any crashes in four or five hours of playtime. I'm hoping that patch fixes a lot of issue though, so we can all start working on the balance issues and they can start implementing the other tiers.

 

@TvK Right click and Properties.There's an option to check the game files for errors

 

I've tried restarting the steam, my computer, redownloaded the game, deleted the config, messed with the config. Nothing works
I'll have to wait for tonight's patch but well I had a fucking amazing run, so many villages and stuff! Just great!

I might just imagine things now, but it seems like windowed mode runs more stable than fullscreen mode. Not a single crash today, both on my computer at home and at school. Both played in windowed. Last night I had several crashes within a couple of hours while playing fullscreen.

 

I just had a Crash when I Pressed F11 Instead of F10. I Hope It Saved my Progress... If Not, I'm gonna be pissed.

That may explain my very few crashes, I played in windowed mode the entire time since my resolution doesn't exist for some reason.

 

Yeah same here.I don't mind tough.I can still make it fit the screen nicely.ANd it's easier to Check stuff while changing planets
