Okay, that's it. I've been staring at this screenshot for a solid hour and I can't figure it out, so I turn to here to see if anyone else can recall where this guy is from.

I KNOW this character from somewhere. Not being able to remember is killing me!
And for those curious, no, this is not edited in any way. I have no mods, and this version of the game is 100% Vanilla. This guy is in the game, and he's actually a merchant. He sells a Silver and Gold Pickaxe, an oil lantern, and bombs in increments of 5 and 15. All things considered, though, he's not an actual NPC. It's just a sprite, and actually takes no damage from weapons, along with floating if the ground is removed from under him.

Coordinates, for those wanting to see if they can find him for themselves:

Location: Fairly deep underground, slightly to the left of where you beam in. If you run into a Avian Temple, the cave I took down to it should be the first one right behind you. Take note, the caves don't lead there on their own, so you will have to manually dig down once you reach a dead-end. Also, there is an Underground Flesh Biome just to the right of the path to him, so if you dig down early and find that, you should be able to find it a bit easier by simply digging left from there.

 

Well, going off of nothing, I reverse image searched the frog (by cropping it from the cap) and got nothing. I scanned TV Trope's page about frogs in fiction (by searching the terms 'humanoid' and 'anthropomorphic'), which weren't promising, mainly because I didn't know where to look. So, I tried at least!
