I'm getting killed a lot just by walking into enemies, even ones that attack with breath. I recall Chucklefish saying that is exactly how combat wouldn't work. I guess some animations haven't been implemented yet? Because not should not take damage from dropping onto an enemy if Chucklefish are to be believed.

 

I have restrained myself to not play Starbound again until after the wipe.Back to doing my usual things.

 

I've got mods to test, or I'd wait. This hat is not supposed to be invisible in icon or on the head.

 

The new patch is incoming in the next few hours or sometime tomorrow, it'll fix the combat.

 

So I just made an Apex character just for fun and the random name gen gave me Beefjeffcutter.

 

Supposedly it comes later tonight, like the early morning. I'm not sure, though.

 

Well, if the patch is soon, try to have some of your stuff down on a planet in case the universe doesn't get wiped.

Hate to break to you guys but it's a complete universe wipe since they had to completely change the stats on every single piece of armor, every single weapon, and the stats of the creatures and bosses.

 

Yeah, it's kind of a long shot...but that's the way things go sometimes. I'll get to restart my starmaps and planet charts if it's completely complete.

On the other hand, maybe I'll luck out and planets will still be where they are, and I can at least reclaim a few building materials.

 

But the good news is that the pokeman thing is being introduced and a new tier is being put into place, so it's not really that much of a loss.

 

Indeed. I can start keeping track of where specific monsters are and asking after particular patterns of monster. Fire breathing grey lizards with mickey mouse ears. Little flying Spike with an afro and spitting lightning.
