Also, anyone know what happened to the whole "mothership" idea that was going around in early development? I remember it quite clearly, at a certain point you would be able to find a mothership where you could do stuff like capture and train weaker monsters as your own, research different techs, build mechs, hire a crew, etc. Maybe I'm just not far enough yet, but I could have sworn all that was planned on being in the game. I hope that wasn't scrapped and instead they've just yet to implement it.

As far as I know it's all been trashed and replaced by player ships.
