For what its worth, I agree with you; "wrong" and "right" are complex abstractions, and everyone is an individual, with their own motivations and habits. Some people are into stuff, some aren't, what is important is how we interact with other people. Enjoying stuff (yeah that's a euphemism) is okay; forcing it on other people is almost invariably wrong.

Thanks, and also thanks again spirritis... I am just mixed up... I know what i beleive is right, and am admittedly a little new to the whole "most everyone does not think the same way as you"... I have grown up rather sheltered, and consider MLP one of the many good things in my life. I think i should just find some purely MLP related stuff.... I never like the term brony, ya know, and it looks like I am really not one...

Hmmm, ok. Sadly, i am about to go for a five mile run, not a nap. And i would just say that you are somewhat right, somewhat wrong in my opinion. I am certainly not supposed to hate anyone, but rather love everyone, and i am called to tolerate everyones viewpoint, in order to be kind to them, but NOT accept their view point. big difference. I am called to accept the person, tolerate the viewpoint, and help them see their misunderstanding in a kind and loving way if they err. I did not do so. I am sorry.

I coulda told you that this thread was the last place to come for MLP discussion. I lamented this very fact 1000 pages ago, but now I just treat this place as a hangout. As I said before, Fimfiction is probably the Numero Uno place to go for MLP discussion. I hope to see you there; my name is the same as it is here. It may not have appeared that way with my antics that you may have seen, but I'm pretty big on the 'discussion' part where it's actually expected.

 

I think there's a bit of a miscommunication here; when I said "accept" I meant to accept that they HAVE a viewpoint, and that it MIGHT be a valid one, not that you should AGREE with it.

Some viewpoints are indeed objectively wrong and should not be accepted; but that's a discussion for another time.
