I do understand. But I also don't actually have that way of thinking anymore. I guess you could say I'm jaded (must be because I've stumbled upon too many brutal clopfics and gore porn stories). As for Luna, she was always this popular. She had 20 seconds of air time in the pilot, so she was a blank slate, a mystery. Her great character design was a big attraction, so people started making art and stories, trying to explore the enigma that was Luna. I'm sure you've heard of (or will hear of elsewhere) Past Sins and Progress, two fan fics about pre-Season 2 Luna that were immensely popular and a boon for her popularity. Her Season 2 appearance was just fanservice at that point, making Luna an adorkable, socially awkward meme machine. Luna has had a very jeweled history.

and that, dear friend, is why i feel i should just jump ship now. This show has done a lot of good for me, cheered me up numerous times, and really taught me to value friendship more. It has already lost some of its flavor to me over time, and i dont need anything else ruining it... especially things that are just YUCK. I mean, porn? really?

 

We get numerous non-pony-fan visitors. Some, like Shinx, find it like the Hotel California.

Well, you've heard Rule 34 quoted: if it exists, there's porn of it. The cars you see everyday are subject to this rule. The yapping dog a block away, the cake you eat on your birthday. And the shows you watch. It's pretty easy to avoid, honestly; I just came across that stuff because of bile fascination. Cupcakes started the torture porn stuff that people like to make (torture porn is basically incredibly violent stuff that has no greater purpose than violence). But that's (mostly) a minority around here.

 

Please tell me pony shinx isn't a thing.

oh, well, at the least its a minority... but still.... i knew it existed, i just hoped folks who truly appreciate the show would be above that... but i guess there are some messed up folks out there too (not saying you are one of them).
