    Fritos and Hotaru like this.
  2. MaximumZero

    MaximumZero Void-Bound Voyager

That is awesome! How large of a structure could you pick up with that thing?

In that version it only searches for the top right (the thing that looks like an anvil) indicator up to 200x200 blocks away. With wiring it can probably go as far as you can be bothered to run with a wire (unless there's a limit on wire length). There might be a limit on how much I can store in an item's config data, but I suspect I won't find that out until someone tries to pick up a planet with it.

Also, I haven't tested it but I imagine picking up a chest with it puts you on the first train to lost items city. So lots of work to be done.

    Old_Crazy_Gamer Pangalactic Porcupine

    Love the concept.

    1. Are the buildings customizable (ie meaning once build we can reshape them to preference).
    2. What are the cost and materials required to make?

Can you make a empty one, that way we can add as seen fit at time of building. Thanks in advance.
  5. ollj

    ollj Big Damn Hero

Another case of a badly named mod.

Should be named: Giant armada of spaceships in a box.

I sure hope (in one future version) if this mod is on a server it allows for templates to be added that are stored on clients and not just templates from the server (without copying something you build on this server before).

    - Nevermind you used an anvil and a pickup item to do this already: (just has to add 2 blocks that determine bottom-left and top-right corner and a template-maker that reads those.) the anvil sure is a cheesy workaround.

    1. The buildings are just built out of regular blocks & furniture, so yeah, you can do whatever you'd like with them once they're deployed.
    2. 10 to 15 titanium bars and 400 to 1000 pixels, depending on which building. The empty module is the cheapest, the crafting one the most expensive.

The anvil is actually a specific marker item, it just looks like an anvil because it's an early proof of concept, so I wasn't concerned with looks. I use objects rather than blocks because it's a lot faster to find a specific entity than it is a specific block, it also means I can set it up to use wiring at some point.

Even using the newest version this still does not work for me. I still just get the foundation base or whatever it is.

Can you go in and try placing a building, then send me a copy of your starbound.log? I'll take a look when I get home.

See if that latest version works for you @Turk.

Still nothing but the foundation like in my screen shot. I've made sure there is no background tiles. I've tried it with only your mod running. Not sure what would be the problem then. I even verified the install. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong.

can i use startructor to change the Base files and do better bases OwO?

No, the buildings in the available version are created entirely from lua scripts, they aren't stored as dungeons or anything. Once the scanning & printing stuff is done you'll be able to reproduce your own buildings though.

plus you should add it also as a duggeon or to work the same, soo it can be generated by the iten, This also would make easy to everyone to add their onw bases  again like that old mod in minecraft

Watch the video at the top of this page.

I'd rather you waited until I get a more stable version done, this one still has placeholder art and doesn't work for some people. Hopefully I'll have most of the issues ironed out within a few days.
