INTRODUCTION: The small one is Bal. The big one is Loon. Since they always spawn in duos they are simply referred to as Balloon. Loons are reared as hunting pets by the smaller, more fragile Bal species. Loons are omnivorous creatures that are naturally timid but have been trained to fight for their masters. BEHAVIOR: Bal holds the leash. Loon is the attacker. Loon is obviously tougher. Although they are separate entities, their movement is restricted to the length of the leash, forcing them to stay in close proximity. Killing Bal first causes Loon to flee, effectively neutralizing the entire mob. You take advantage of Loon's floating by firing ranged attacks under it and directly at Bal. Killing Loon first will leave Bal no choice but to engage the player as well.
I have to admit..... This is actually one hilariously creative and very imaginative mob. I would make a suggestion, don't know if you had it in mind yet or not, but maybe have have different subspecies of Loons? Frost Loons and so forth and so on. Give it a little more depth, otherwise I find this refreshing and creative.
Indeed. I decided to leave variations up to the Devs though, so they could add in their own details and my submission wouldn't be too hard to fit into the game. Bal's head was too empty so I had to fill it up. I experimented with horns and other details. This was my favorite.
The art is just so... Unusual! And the idea is pretty fun! This totally reminds me of Master Blaster from the movie Mad Max 3: Beyond the Thunderdome or something like that. Supporting because hell, why not!!!
Oh hey, the hook in Loon looks like it really hurts :I Maybe if you cut the string it could go berserk and start attacking Bals?
Maybe. The main thing I wanted to see was a mob which required precision to defeat instead of simply spamming attacks at its centre of mass, much like those old school arcade boss monsters that had weak points and such.
