just reached the last sector and with your crappy gear wanted to explore one of the most dangerous planets in existence? WELL YOU COULD! AND YOU WOULD PROBABLY DIE! and it was awesome

 

Back in my day, Snow Infantry Armor was the best earlier armor. Best in armor and warmth.

 

Back in my day, you could fly using energy dash.

 

Back in my day, you must found techs into chests (so your friend who just started the game can have the jetpack and you, after 3hours of playing have the dash )

You must do a campfire, wear a space suit ect

 

Back in my day you could get all the ore you needed by skimming the surface of a desert planet.

ohh god i remember this >.< was so much fun. in fact i just got back in to starbound maybe a month ago and tried to fly with it.. i was sad that i couldnt.

 

Back in my day, Starbound wasn't even a game! It was a concept and a pile of screenshots, and we would shitpost relentlessly about that fact! End of 2013, they said!
And @OmnipotentEntity would post AMAs, and I'd hassle him about why humans didn't get to be naked like all the aliens did, and I'd never get a good answer.

butterfly boost?

 

basically an anti gravity bubble that allowed you to propel yourself in any direction
it left a trail of butterfly particles. it was the best tech ever

 

I see, I thought you were referring to using energy dash in the air then timing pulse jump in such a way that it catapults you.
