Avoid the steam forums at all costs.

I'm really glad those forums exists to keep those people off these forums. It's a literal cesspool of trolls yelling "CLONE OF TERRARIA!" yeeaaah. Always glad to have this forum Even though I usually just lurk and only made my account not too long ago!

The stream forum was horrendous I closed it from all of the terrible comments. The forums are the best best right now.

 

That's pretty much true of all Steam forums.
If you think Starbound's is bad though, wait til' you see a game where the Steam forums ARE the main forums for that game...
It's ugly.

 

Whats happening is sort of like what happened to Project Zomboid (I own it and it is GOOD). People screaming "copy" or "zombies cmon man be original". The phase will die off soon but only if we the community make the steam forums a better place.

 

I'm starting to think them beginning to phase out the SPUF in favor of the Hub Discussions section is a horrible idea.

The flood of retarded people who post there just makes my head hurt. There's virtually no moderation, and it being so accessible, really derpy people who have no place on a forum period show up to constantly make the most asinine threads. I mean, the SPUF has problems too, but for Pete's sake. All the worst posters and idiotic mods on the SPUF put together doesn't hold a candle to this flood of idiocy.

Well, I guess that's to be expected with the what, 50K players currently on the game? On the bright side, we've got more players in this Beta than Path of Exile did on launch day. We currently have the population of a small city playing the game.
