Avians suddenly mainstream?

I think you feel wrong. Every poll I've seen has had humans near or at the top.

 

IIRC the least popular race were the Apex. I was really surprised by the result since I think they are the coolest one (especially because of the lore!)

 

I've wanted to be an avian since I first found out about the game, but I also had liked the idea before I even found out about the game. Probably since the Chozo in Metroid. I agree that more people seem to be avian, and that's why I'm going to be Hylotl instead.

Though I'll likely make a Novakid at some point, too. Probably a glitch, as well.

 

It reeks of hipster out of its every orifice.

 

i really dont get how some people think something is less good the more people think it is good...

 

No love for Apex? I'll admit, I'm fairly divided on what I'll be, but I'm thinking Apex for the first character.

 

Because the popularity of 50 Shades of Grey and Twilight demonstrates that the the more people like something, the worse it is.

 

You'll definitely be able to pick a race no one else will be playing, since I've heard that only 5 other people will be playing.

I however will be playing a human/apex regardless of what anyone else is playing, because I don't live in a fantasy...

I've been wanting to play as avian in beta since the start.
On release, i'll probably play as the novakid, which will probably be overplayed due to its new release.

 

i would thought the apax would be the furry ones,

This is really.. aw god why. Why would you choose your race based on the choice of other players ? This doesn't make sense at all.

 

I know right? Who wouldn't want to play the most futuristic races in a sci-fi space adventure game?

The choice makes itself people.

 

The six original races really are closely matched in popularity.
But you know what race everyone forgot about correctly?
The 'stretch-goal' Novakids.
Everyone seems to have forgotten them. Where did all the hype go?
