Avians least cared about race?

Whos everyone??? they are one of the 2 races I really want to play and will be my main for sure!

BTW my list goes as follows
1.Apex
2. Glitch.
3 Humans.
4. Hylotl
5. Avian
6. Floran (whom i actually dislike, but you cant please everyone.)

Actually, I really loved how the developers specifically outlined how each race had outcasts. For the Avians, they are called the "grounded"-- They've rejected their religion and moved on. Likewise, there must be at least some number of Apex who are not oppressive totalitarians, some Florans who recognize the value of animal life, and some Glitch who realize what they really are. I'm sure the same will hold for the aquatic race as well. It makes sense, really. Not all members of a given culture will adhere to the same norms.

EDIT: I can't really rate the races because I like them all equally. Except humans because, well, boring. Maybe if they got an extra feat and free skill points, but then they'd feel cheap. I don't get why people hate on the Apex. Is it because the girls have beards? Otherwise they are virtually humans, only with the obvious Planet of the Apes feel to their background.

 

The Glitch have the "free" ones, who understand their own technological advance and are pursued for that. As soon as I read their race description I thought of witch hunting back in dark age

 

So far, the novakid looks quite cool to me.

Apex are the least wanted atm according to most polls, avatars, and all that here. I have barely seen anyone talk about Apex other than this topic

 

I will be playing all races at one point in time right now though I plan to play the glitch first , unless another race comes out . I would like to point out that those parts in the character creator is probably just a small sample of what we can use in the game.

 

I like the background and building designs of the Apex a lot, but their actual character design not as much, plus I think it's a bit too close to humans.

Most liked races are Novakid, Glitch and Avian.

You failed to mention the Floran Cult following. They are probably about as numerous as the avian fans, but much louder. Their jokes always involve eating something.

 

hm i wonder how the relationship between the novakid and avians is going to play out, so far they are the two races that seem to me to be the most 'one' minded of all, not having any noted history, care very little about other races and diplomacy yada yada

 

I think that's because there is only so much you can do with a bird-like species, whereas robotos... well.. there is a hell of a lot of variation you can do there.
And do bear in mind that I have heard that some Glitch head options will be removed from the final game for being too... big. They don't play well with helmets.

 

I remember reading some where that a novakid jokingly ask an avian "If his god was real. " I understand though the lore of the novakid makes it where not every group of the race will be the same politically since they don't talk to each other as a whole.

 

Apex are definitely the least appreciated race from what I've seen. I'm on the Avian-hating side, though.

mmhmmmm My order is:

Novakid > Glitch > Apex > .... > floran > hylotl > ... > human > avian

And Glitches were quite on the same level as Apex for me, i like them both equally, but FUCK YEAH!! an energy based race is what i wanted for over half a year now and now its real C:

 

All you have to do is name your Avian "Harvey Birdman" and you instant win the game.

 

I needs some Hylotl lore, I am starved over here...

and it better not be some horrific cannibal experimenting on its own race bullcrap like they pulled with the current races...
