Avian/floran conflict?

Butt rubbing is the best method of reproduction, all other methods are inferior.

 

Pretty sure they're completely Plant-based...
Got any evidence on that?

 

Both taste pretty good to me!

I'd prefer to not have much human/animal type anatomy.

As for reproduction, I like to keep my backside covered. Don't want to accidentally brush against someone else in a town..

 

When a floran is killed, a blood particle affect is given off, this means they have hemoglobin in their blood. This also meansthey diffuse oxygen into co2. This states their insides are carbon based flesh. Also they are capable of eating meat. While i have no solid evidence, i find it most accurate that the have a fleshy inside with a hardened chloroplast based exo skeleton.

 

Another point i'd like to ask is since they difuse both o2 into co2 and co and co2 into O2 with a C biproduct, can they breath underwater and in suffocating areas significantly longer so long as there is direct sunlight?

 

The blood in question could just be a stored insulation taken from their prey to make up for most plants' weakness to cold. Or it could just be like a Tomato-y flesh.

 

Thats what makes the Floran salads taste so good!

I'm pretty sure it was stated in the lore that most Florans lack the concept of non-Floran sapient life (i.e. they don't have a word for 'person'; only 'Floran' and 'food',) therefore they don't see anything wrong with it. Those that associate with the other races are treated as outcasts by Floran society (i.e. like a human deciding to live as part of a herd of cattle.)

 

Then how do you propse the dufuse gas?
And in a way to deliver celular energy to support their high movement, even at night?

 

Which is strange, considering they're carnivores. the lore thing that introduced them contradicts itself a bit

 

This is also why its stated the florans only look like plants

 

They use photosynthesis to create Glucose, they break down Glucose to make ATP much like an animal does,
and then they take in meats to produce energy for the daytime.

so they Photosynthesize for when they sleep, or have no food, in which case they store it as Starch,
and eat meat to gain proteins and complex sugars for high-mobility periods such as the daytime.
Or something.

...In conclusion, Florans being stated as plants and moving like an animal does seem contradictory. Perhaps they're a member of some undiscovered kingdom of life, and are neither animals nor plants.

...The avian strikes up a conversation with the floran, and they become acquainted with eachother.
The floran grins and says "You should come over to my place. I'd love to have you for dinner sometime."
The avian smiles, and she says that'd be delightful.

He hands her a piece of paper with his address on it, and she walks out of the bar, none the wiser to how literal he meant the phrase.
