So after a lot of searching, I found an Avian Airship so that I could get a Treasure Map and complete my ship progression. One little thing... It was on a Volcanic world. And on my way to the bridge, a meteor shower struck. I know these are usually widely feared, (less so in nightly/unstable than in stable) but the setting just made this particular one awesome! I frantically dodged my way to the bridge to grab the Treasure Map, then quickly bought a gun at the shop before beaming out. Later, I returned to assess the damage. And it was glorious.
I had the same experience. Quite funny seeing all those feathery pirates crash down to the surface. I hung around for a long time, watching the ship being consumed.
