Introduction. Self Description. Positive Ending Note. Okay, I'm just kidding, not gonna have that be my introduction post, though I feel that would be pretty funny. So as per my usual, I'm gonna ruin a potentially good joke with information on myself as per the usual of introduction posts. Okay, getting on with it. I'm just being silly. My name is Troy, my username is commonly StormyFacade nowadays when looking to games and forums, anyplace I'm not looking to represent myself as an artist. I am an aspiring artist, I love to do it and do digital art, traditional sketches, and very occasionally pixel art more recently as I personally have been drawing inspiration from starbound itself (though also Terraria in it's world design and also Magicite's enemy design) in nearly every aspect, mainly centering in the look of the NPCs and characters, which honestly looks so cool to me. So I decided to come here after kind of exhausting the Unstable branch, which by that, I mean having gotten the final tier of armor on every character, though not the final mission if it exists due to the fact that I actually wanna save it for when it's not buggy and stuff. My absolute favorite parts of the game are florans, (they're adorable, even the wierd-looking male characters look cute to me, just smack a cap on them and they're just... so cute) The home-base ship and how you can now upgrade the size of it, the ability to dual-wield one-handed items, the flashlight's literal existence, the matter manipulator's literal existence and how you can now upgrade them, and last but not least... The fact that flesh biomes are a thing. I could go on what I hope about the game, but that'd be a long list of things that are mostly not mandatory in my eyes (so to speak, not saying that if certain bits don't get added, that I'd suddenly stop playing) but if there is one thing I hope the game still delivers on eventually... it's the ability to progress in the game in more than the usual way (like a post made a LOOONG time ago, before chucklefish got an office I think) like farming and killing/hunting monsters... though I feel that was more of an idea for an always-active multiplayer sector... which would be neat. But yeah. My artistic handle is Commander-Strife or IIIStrife. you can find me on any site that I've signed up for which has to do with the creation of content, save for youtube, and I do take requests now, though nothing complicated. My most used character is a female Floran named Helena Vinelash whom is even a character with her own backstory (Like all of my other 39 characters) and set personality. My hobbies are recreational Roleplaying (Like DnD, forum-based rps, etc.), writing, drawing, Video Games (It's capitalized because it's basically my #1 most done thing). And I personally like to think I'm pretty good for testing due to the fact that when I play a game, my mind picks it apart and focuses on the little details and things, which often causes me to stop playing and even dislike playing some games, a good example being Starcraft 2 (Whereas Starcraft: Brood War, I played so often, I actually had to see a counsellor about video game addictions, when i was in high school and middle school). It's something I literally can't turn off, but when I find a problem, I usually bring it up, and either way, I learn a little bit each time about game design. As such I have a kinda okay knowledge of it. That's all I'll say for now, sorry for the huge amount of text if that's a punishable thing, Hahaha. Have any questions? Welcome! We certainly have a lot of artists joining lately. You draw very well, by the way. Ah yes, developed characters. I'd love to hear about all the ones you have - at least, the Starbound ones.
40 characters, heh? Heck, sometimes I feel doing unnecessary things in games (especially while roleplaying), but some details are just important to me, not sure why. I would like to ask a question, you consider yourself a hardcore player? (You can use a number from 1 to 11.) Oh, and welcome.
Thanks everyone, and namely Thanks Varc, it really does help to get some positive feedback on my art, really makes me wish to draw more often, infact I'm already feeling the urge (literally have had artist's block since last month, Hahaha). And yeah, 39ish 40, though if I counted the silly side characters whom are hardly developed, it'd more or less go up to 67 and 3/4s. Also as to if I'm a hardcore player or not, it depends on if you mean how hardcore I am of a game player in general, or how hardcore I am with Starbound. Well let's just put it this way. I don't ever permanently stop playing a game until I have literally every unique and possibly gained item available. That or something else eats my focus.
