RELEASED Avali (Triage) 1.11.0

Not the slightest surprise but this got broken apparently in the reicent update causing JSON errors.

 

New stable update is out, hopefully this gets a speedy update so I can keep my server up... it broke obviously ;-;

 

Of course it will. I prepared for the wipe, so if my characters go, their items go with them.

 

Any chance of the update today? I'm holding off on playing again 'till this comes out, so I can do one full runthrough, without any start-overs, haha

 

Something similar happened to me, except the whole dye mod was the issue, and I was trying to run a private server for my friend.

Not seeing dyeing things as a huge loss I ditched that, but then ran into troubles where she couldn't beam to my ship, crashing every time she tried. I believe the culprit was the Avali Augments and Accessories mod, but I'm not sure. I think that because it tried eating a mod item and I crashed too... so all of that is gone and I guess I'll just wait for more updated things.

 

Getting this error on launch

 

First off, this mod is not updated for the new Starbound version, so that may be your problem.
Second, this mod is not updated for the nightly, which may otherwise be your problem.
Third, did you really expect them to already have an update by now? They're humans with lives and families.

 

I'm just reporting the problem so that they can fix it faster...

 

I'm also getting the same crash message with stable, and have even removed all my other mods save for the extender.

To be honest, you probably don't have to be rude about it. The Avali mod is ridiculously popular so yes, I would think the people who liked it enough to try to fix it would comment on it.

By the way, I fixed it. It's not hard. It's a super, super easy fix. The avali tutorial quest just needs its variable names fixed. No more error. It's possible some other quest might crash the game later, but I was just trying to fix the launch error.

How does one go about fixing that variable?

 

I just opened it in wordpad, changed "conditions" to "completionConditions". Seemed to be all I had to do.

This honestly gets the mod working again?
We still need to get Fevix to update the Github. Also Fevix was last seen on Aug 14, 2015.
The npc files more than likely will have to be altered for full vanilla functionality(maybe more tweaks).

 

For what it's worth my character is also currently invincible. Not sure if that's a current bug with starbound or one with the mod, though.

edit: Scratch that. Must of been a temporary thing.

 

Hey Devani, I made a pull request for the "completionConditions", just made the change on Git

 

Just took a look. I hope I didn't break anything...

I think it's just the variable changes again. Give me a few and I'll look. Not sure if that's ok or not but, w/e, this is a cool mod and I hate to see it broken.
