can you add tanks or aney transport stuff for use i got the looks and ideas but i dont know how to code or APPLY anything and i dont know how to add blocks to the game either so i cant craft aneything that i have made. ill add a zip file of the stuff i have designed soon i cant spare the internet to upload today

 

Okay so.
To start, getting a dedicated server set up for Starbound will cost at least $20.52/mo for a 12-slot server, with the price going up $1.39/mo for every additional slot.
I'm more than happy to run this, but I don't have the funds, myself. This is where you all come in.
I'd like to set the server up to be crowdfunded. A new Paypal account would be made for the sole purpose of paying for the server, and donations sent there. I would, every month, screenshot and post the transaction history of that account to show you all I'm only using it for the intended purpose and not for personal gain.

This also serves the purpose of, once the desire (And thus, funding) for the server runs out, it would automatically shut down. (At this point, were I to use my own Paypal, it would start to charge my empty account and leave me deep in the red.)

However, Paypal has been iffy about money, so if anyone suggests a better method of doing this, I'm all ears. As of now the only actions I've taken towards setting up the server is checking the price on Multiplay.

U.S. If there's funding for it I may open an Australia server, but that depends on funding.

 

Wait, are you actually hosting one, or just renting a server?

I just don't see the latter going well.

 

Renting, because my machine can't be on 24/7 and I have shitty internet already so it'd just be a horrible experience for all involved.

Edit: My machine COULD be on 24/7, but the power here isn't 100% reliable.

 

Creator, What was the Logistics Frigade for Avail?

 

An add-on mod located under the add-on tab. It's a different ship.

 

Oh, Cool. You put it into the mods folder like the others?

 

I've never installed it, but I'm sure that's how you do it. Also be warned that if you switch ships with all your items on them it could "delete" them.

I believe I have it currently set up to add the frigate as a new ship, not overwrite the old one. I think it's set up so that new Avali characters (And any character who gets a ship upgrade) will get the Frigate (In the case of the ship upgrade, you'll get the appropriate level Frigate. Probably, I don't know.)

 

I tried to start up the mod using the Avali-Dyemod that was offered in the extra mods list. But the game didn't start up. is there possibly some issues with the mod right now (outdated)?

 

Alright. I've tried everything from using older versions to switching over to the nightly build, but the mod always causes Starbound to crash on the loading screen. What am I doing wrong, and what version, if any, works with either the current nightly build or the unstable build?

This is using patch 1.4.3 on the Nightly build.

 

The Nightly build features significant changes to NPCs so errors relating to the NPCs is to be expected. This will hopefully be fixed soon, but, for now, Avali (Triage) is for Stable Starbound.

 

Will files from the stable build carry over to the update they're supposed to be pushing out soon? I kind of wanted to get a head start on all the new features they had planned, but if it's just a matter of waiting I guess that's no big deal.

 

Yes, they will. There is no planned character wipe. The update may possibly come out tomorrow, too... better get to work, @Fevix.

 

Anyone with the frigate care to tell me where the Research Station is supposed to show up? It NEVER does in mine.
