Likely, yes. As long as the game has just the avali and the system is the same, at the very least. For example: You have the same system as someone else, go to the coordinates they gave, found a planet/star with the same name provided [yes, it is important to give the name] and there is still no village there, as long as you replace the file with the same name, you should get the village someone else found. That doesn't mean it'll have everything, since it is likely to have been raided already.

Alright, i have a question. About the scarves, someone mentioned sometime ago editing them to use the back slot while still appearing as chest slot, right? Was that implemented in the current mod, or is it a custom patch?

 

I looked at the Avali terrestrial_worlds.config.patch and discovered the planets that they spawn on. It looks a little something like this...

I just put the green lines there to Highlight the world types they spawn on. Not sure how helpful this is or if anyone else has already done something similar. I also used the moardungeons mod that Fevix linked and it certainly helped. I was able to find an Avali settlement within and hour or two.

This is my home. It is a harsh ice world. I named it New Avalon. Some of it is heavily inspired by other users homes. Figured I'd use more talented peoples Avali architectural style to sharpen my own. I was thinking about doing some pixel art or even drawing some pwetty pictures with crayons about the Avali. Have forked the Git repo to update a couple of files to reflect the changes in Pleased Giraffe, if anyone else is running the nightly builds of Starbound, then download the zip from my repo, since it has updated AI files and quest files.

I'm not sure if it's been said, or if I'm just dumb (I've already gotten a mod to skip the first tutorial.. and pracftically cheated on the way down to the core beforehand -- Exploration was more my thing with S

But when I actually DO acquire those blasted ship cores from their ludicrous placing, or when that mod I mentioned is active, the ship is fixed, but my FTL Fuel drive is not. It remains broken. I can't add any fuel to it, and can't fly anywhere. I've been around that generic planet so many times now, and I have not once seen something or anything that gives me hope that I'd be able to carry on with the game.

I tried it with a vanilla hman, and the fuel drive worked jsut fine -- sure I'm still CONFuSED, but at least with that I can cheat and try to see if I can continue from there.. but with a fluffy avali I can't even do that.
These are dark times...

 

The FTL drive does not get fixed by just Core Fragments. It requires Erchius Crystals, like every other race. Until you finish the mining mission, you can't use the FTL drive, and are stuck in the system you started in.

 

If your fuel hatch is not opening then....
This happened to me once. I tried finding a solution and got lucky. There are some commands you can use to fix this. Type /admin to go in to admin mod then type /spawnitem shipT3 <----Be sure to use T capital T
It will spawn the item on your cursor, so put the cursor next to you. Then pick up the item and use it. Hopefully that works for you.

The FTL drive does not unlock for ANY race without completing the mining mission. Core Fragments only repair your thrusters, to allow you to traven within the same system (which costs nothing, so you don't need the fuel hatch)

Also, my apologies for no update this week. I'm currently at Disney World and don't get home till Monday night. Next update will be tho coming Friday.

 

I know there's one mod that breaks the fuel hatch because it requires fuel for intrasystem travel (back to the Koala days), it's a pretty easy fix though since it's just taking the T3 fuel hatch and putting it into the T2 upgrade.

 

I already knew this, about the thrusters. I failed to make it clear, I guess.. but eh, it was fixed and I'm just happy Thank you for restoring the mod to it's former glory, and gifting us back our precious avali friends!

quick question what are you going to do when starbound releases its story line? are you going to incorporate the mod into it or do we must make a new profile

 

We have no idea yet what the game will look like when it's on "1.0", the mod will certainly adapt to work with it, but nothing can be said now as we don't know what extra changes the game will go through. That's what i believe Fevix would say.

 

That makes me wonder if he is allowed to do that. From what I can tell he is only allowed to keep the game up to date. If that is the case then I hope this race/mod doesn't die off. I doubt that will happen though, considering how much affection it has gotten.

 

Update the mod as it needs to be updated. New features will be slow going, but I'm sure Fevix, Devani, etc. can handle allowing for compatibility.
