RELEASED Avali (Triage) 1.11.0

The download link provided is likely for the "0.5 unofficial" version, which fevix updated to make the game accept the mod. It is just an addition, you won't get much from it aside from some cosmetics and extra weapons.

 

The authors have instructed me that the only changes I am to make are those to make the mod usable in the current version. I'm not allowed to change anything, only keep it updated.

 

The soft tapestry seems to be inflated and one block looks to be almost twice the size of a normal block. Any idea what might cause this?

 

That was designed by Ryuu to emulate being fluffy and soft. With it like that, you can 'sink into' it.
Not 100% sure what he was going for with it, but this is intended behavior.

 

some of the blocks dont have colours as in when i try and paint them they come as missing textures of black and white or do i need to download another mod?

I think that's an actual texture. No texture-blocks would be invisible. And would raise an error.

You used black/white dye (whichever one), right?

 

The Soft blocks above take on various textures when painted. Different colors give different textures. I believe the one you're seeing is the white paint texture.


Fogive me, it's the Black texture. You can see the various patterns you can get by painting them.
(Order is None/Red/Blue/Green/Yellow/Orange/Purple/Black/White, from top to bottom.)
Dying them with dye mod prior to placing and painting them gives interesting combinations of colors, as well.

Several other blocks have special patterns as well, when painted, but some aren't as obvious. For instance, the Avali Trim, when painted white, sports a checkerboard black/white pattern. There's more, too, check them out! You can even paint some things I didn't think were paintable, like the camp poles

All in all, a few interesting, easter-eggy designs hidden in by Ryuu.

(Those of you who use dye mod have probably noticed that camp items like hammocks, tent parts, and cushions can all be dyed into special designs)

 

They do, but AAaA is onthe backburner for them.

All planets are generated procedurally. Unfortunately the way it's implemented means each operating system and processor architecture (possibly even across service packages and updates) generates planets differently.

Anyways, you need to add info about your system otherwise we won't know who it will work with.

 

Say, do the mushroom people speak to the avali like florans to avians? I found one of their villages and they were talking like florans, with all the Ss.

 

That's been a bug since day 1. Essentially, to the game, teh Agarans /are/ Florans, just with special hats that cover their face (You can find these hats in Agaran towns on occasion, or at least could when I last found a town.)
But the script that spawns Florans with these hats and adds the special lines is hidden away and I, at least, haven't been able to find it. Much like the default races, the Agarans have different lines depending on your race. I'm assuming that because they have no "Avali" lines, it defaults to the basic lines, which, because they're lireally Florans, are Floran. Not sure why they're choosing Avian lines, though. (I'd have guessed they'd choose the Avali lines present in the floran villager dialogue file)

I'll look into it after my trip, but right now I only have an hour and a half to get ready and out the door.

I found out it was compatible, though with the same graphical bug.

I almost had a heart attack here, my computer turned off while i was playing and when i finally got to play again, ALL MY BOOKMARKS AND TELEPORTER MARKERS WERE GONE! Thankfully, things are still in place, so i'm gonna have to find things here and there again, eventually.

Too bad i can't look into planet files to see where i had put a teleporter. :c

 

Is it possible for someone to upload their world file of a planet that is inhabited by the Avali and then another person put that file in to their universe folder and be able to find it in their game provided the coords? I have been searching for a settlement for the longest time
