Return of the most adorable predators this side of the universe rift

Will EBS/EBBS be compatible with this mod ?

Seriously how would that even work...

Ugh, ok give me a moment to show you a helpful diagram.

As you can see, there is nothing to 'enhance'. Now stop asking, I'm sure the people responsible for EBS are sick of it too.

The number used is the workshop ID. So, for example, this Avali Triage's workshop URL is "http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=729558042", so the Triage mod will be placed into a folder named "729558042"

You guys do realise Starbound itself comes with an asset unpacker and packer included, right...?

Yeah that's kind of what we're discussing so you answered your own question, but you need batch files to tell it what to do.

    What.

    Command. Lines. Exist.

And a batch file is a bunch of commands bundled together for a command line to execute. You can have it scan a folder (such as /steamapps/content/workshop/ or whatever the workshop folder is) for subfolders, then check these subfolders for certain files, then list these files and the folder names they're in, and allow the user to press a button to pick one to unpack.

Or you can go (what I'm assuming is) Marxon's route and just unpack every single .pak file in the aforementioned folder to a destination folder.

Using a batch file is MUCH easier than memorizing commands and parameters.

Oh, you're actually using batch files. I just open it with command prompt.

Nobody got time for that just use a batch to remember it for you!
    Dis^^^^

Yeah, I'll be honest, I live on Linux so commands and parameters are my homeland. My setup for compiling Mesa alone is basically a solid block of ASCII that claims to be a valid configuration input.

i've decided to make avali themed throwing knives. because i like throwing knives, and i'm tired of running out because i cant craft the vanilla ones. also because my character is an avali who has no talent with guns, but can throw things with surprising accuracy. and i know the avali already have hunting pilums (the third tier of which are impossible to get, btw) but those always result in my inventory being full of meat. sometimes you just want to kill something and not eat it, you know?

this may seem like a silly question, but how do you set which recipes are for which crafting station? like for example, i'm making 3 tiers of throwing knives, and i want the first tier to be craftable on an anvil, the second teir at a forge, and i want the third to be made at a replicator. how do i do that?

    wow wasteful much
Yeah avali throwing knives would be cool.
Oh, and also avali rail hooks to go with the avali rail platforms would be nice.

to be fair, usually the killing and not eating occurs when my inventory is already full of other delicious beasties. i would pick up the meat but the game physically wont let me. also i've mostly got the throwing knives done. it was pretty easy because i basically just renamed the vanilla throwing knives and gave them new textures. what i am having trouble with is making them craftable. i know they work, and i can spawn them into the game without things crashing, but i have no idea how to get the recipes to show up on the anvil/forge/replicator.

[EDIT] well, i managed to make them craftable at the avali weapons bench, so i guess that'll do.

    [EDIT AGAIN!] I made a thing :3

I extracted it to my starbound mods folder (which has nothing in it except a "Mods go here" text) I didn't get asked to replace anything either. Am i following the wrong file path? Or am i doing something wrong? Games/SteamLibrary/Steamapps/Common/Starbound/mods.

Oh, okay. you installed the avali mod through steam. i'd try it and see if it works, and if it doesnt, then you might have to move the file to somewhere else. the avali mod installs into a different directory when you install it through steam, so you'll want to take the avaligrapple.activeitem file from the thing you downloaded, and put it in steamapps/common/workshop/content/729558042/items/active/grapplinghooks/avaligrapple and then replace the one that's already in there with the patched one.

i hope that helps, cause i'd hate to see you have to start a new character.
