Ugh... Yeah, i vote robot. Maybe with a jellyfish-in-a-globe head. I mean, floating jellifish, that's equally unusual.

 

Maybe we could edit the little cleaner robots' sprites...? They're adorable.

not officially, but arthropods would be the Avalon main fauna because Avalon is basically it's a freezing ammonia ball

Edit: I just realized in Crystomic Entomology (before it got removed due to misunderstandings) I made the insects that make the Avali seeds, beetles...I just find it really ironic since I didn't know this at that time.

 

Other races still think I'm a Floran. Will there be a fix for this?

Also here is the aerogel pickaxe I was working on:

It has a custom nano-printer that prints the aerogel thicker than normal so its harder to break.
Its not finished yet...

 

Update on pet status from my poor attempt at hacking things together in photoshop.



Gonna recolor it orange and black; then hopefully code the fricker in by copypasting the Snugget code into the avali ship with minor modifications.

Not sure why people have decided that a pet derived from vanilla assets would be a cool pet for the Avali when it's not original in the slightest...

Because I don't have the time to test a thing I'd have to sprite fully before I know I can implement it.

There is a mod that adds purchasable pets, and does that by using placeable objects that spawn the pets when placed
You could have a look at it

EDIT: if you do this please PLEASE remember to ask the author permission to modify the assets, you might need to take down the mod afterwards if you don't

 

Make a character from any of the vanilla races. Load your ship. Say hello to your pet. Then close the game, make a mod that replaces the image of your characters pet and test its animations. Adding a new pet to the Avali would be more complicated, but is doable - spritework should be finished first, though.

Still should be something original, and not a recolored roomba.

Yes. I am making sure that the pet even spawns before I start editing the sprite. As it isn't spawning, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I even tried the vanilla snugget edited to the avali's ship parameters.
