Why do you have Avali Alternate Ship installed without Avali? Or did you forget to rename "Avali - master" to "Avali" when downloading from GitHub?

 

This can actually happen when you use the workshop version of Avali and the forum version of the ship. The game loads all of /mods before it even looks at the workshop folder.

 

Hmm, weird. I don't know why they'd have the game throwing an exception for a missing dependency without, you know, building a full list of what you have first, lol.

That seems like really weird behavior to me.

 

I did forget to change the folder name to "Avali", but even if I changed it I get the same error.

Sorry if I insist but i really want to play on the other ship, if you find another way (without the alternative ship mod) or the solution to my problem i'll be very grateful.

 

You shouldn't have an avali-master folder. It should be avali-triage.
Try redownloading. The folder name doesn't matter, it's what's inside that does.

 

Already done this for 2/3 times. Still getting the error. Anyway i'll stick with the default ship, thanks for the help and great job for the mod

 

Hey Fevix the altenate ship gives me a "Client ship world has errored" any tipps to fix it using newest avali version and your alternate ship mod but still dont work

 

Open an issue on the github and include your starbound.log

 

alternate ship?! what does it look like? I'm scared to use it, will it delete everything in my current ship?...

 

I'm too lazy to check the forums at the moment [it's 7:40AM and I was up all night doing character modelling and rigging] but on steam workshop it's here.

As for the last bit, since there's a different room layout, it is very likely. Starting a new game is recommended.

nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu that's the ship I've been lookin fooor but i had so much progress i would definitely get bored if i made a new game

 

you don't have to make a new game, just figure out which shipworld file is for your character, grab all the stuff from your ship and stash it somewhere, then delete the shipworld file, it used to work like that i believe

Nice! Could you also upload it here? I don't like downloading from the workshop all that much.

Workshop makes it a lot faster to send updates and keep it updated, as I tend to throw out a lot of random fixes that I only notice after the thought. I'm not really going for popularity.

 

Personally, I've found the workshop annoying to work with for pretty much all purposes except popularity. But that's probably just me.

 

You "don't want to have it up on 3 platforms" but what about the plethora of players that don't or cannot use the Workshop in the first place?
