RELEASED Avali (Triage) 1.11.0

That used to be for the cosmetic items addon but then Triage happened and just sorted it in the nanoloom because WHY THE HELL WEREN'T THOSE ITEMS CRAFTED AT THE NANOLOOM IN THE FIRST PLACE?
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?! it saves space.

 

Yeah, that was originally part of Catalina Industries before it got roped into Triage fully.

 

Wow such lack of respect.

That was the crafting station for all the cosmetics from the mod, catalina industries.

 

Respect lol? I'm saying I want it back! :F

You can't possibly expect me to remember every single mod from the 12,000 updates this game has had - even the base game's assets change on an almost daily basis lmfao. n.nU

Also I'm sad now - I was hoping this cursor project would last me a little longer, but I'm not gonna make cursors for things that aren't used... =.=

I settled for messing with the targeting and casting reticles instead.
As I wouldn't even begin to know what to change the sprites to, so these are just simple recoloring with the same slight transparency I used on the others.

Also I made sure to leave the part of the casting reticle's animation that is used to indicate if you can cast where you're pointing or not as the normal red color:

Feeling kinda lazy right now - I may do a full release tomorrow, but for now if anyone wants the cursor replacers mod here it is.
Keep in mind that all of the aerogel recolorings have a very small amount of transparency applied to them, too.

*The cursor file has a lot more types of cursors in it, but as they are not used anywhere I don't see the point in making edits for them.

I think that if you're that bored you should totally make an avali hoverbike prop for decoration or something.

 

That would be a criminal waste of time considering someone already made one. :F

I doubt anything I could make would be that level of quality anyways...

 

You could always make something better looking.

 

Eh, not feeling super artistically inclined at the moment. Also about to go to bed anyways - maybe I'll feel less "meh" when I wake up, who knows? :]

On an completely unrelated topic, do you guys think my pack is getting to big? I think I need a few more still. :F



The absurd part is that those are the best two screenshots I took out of around 50 or so, and they both still have at least one pack member standing behind another one so you can't see them lol.

I've got one of each type of crewmember (including all types of chemist except for yellow cuz I don't like the glowy outline effect), plus two more from mods (a chef mod and my own hunter mod).

 

Well, since you're completely outside the canon range, might as well fly higher~

You won't get better till you practice.

I highly recommend learning to adopt the high contrast color scale so your art style looks more like the base game and the triage mod.

 

Yeah but the post I quoted they never actually put it into a mod.
By the way I asked if you could make a prop for avali hoverbike. Y'know, that thing that's already sprited? I just think placing parked hoverbikes would be cool. And if it's not anchored, people run off with it or destroy it with a minigun.

 

On a somewhat related note,

I've been using every Avali mod I could find for my current playthrough and managed to find three Avali settlements and 10 crew members.
I have at least 11 data chits at this point, and aside from that certificate thing from the weapon station I can't find any use for them.

I recall reading in the original mod that data chits were used for weapon upgrades but I can't seem to find out how to do anything with them.

 

I don't think that was ever implemented fully. There is/was one gun you could make with the chits, but it had exactly the same stats but a slightly different name and better rarity (which I doubt actually changes anything).

I think it was meant to be added as a later feature, the ability to upgrade guns with chits and unlock new things with the AEC but it just never happened.

Maybe now that Ryujiin is rebooting the original Avali mod... who knows. Maybe that will be a thing, or something similar to it.

 

it's (was?) the assault rifle, it gave it different ammo, so you could have exploding bullets or something else that was so useless i don't remember it.

 

Ricocheting bullets is not useless!
