Steel blocks are only on the robotic crafting table, or printing. They are boring to make, so i used some from an character i had a bunch

And guys, is this from the Dye mod?

 

I think its from the dye mod (tent pieces) and the paint tool (canvas).

 

And... Is the dye mod a dependency mod? I'm guessing yes, since these fabrics look really different from the original, instead of just recolored. [meaning new items, and necessary across all players/server]

 

They are just recolours, though. It's just that Ryuu got creative in recolouring the fabric and made the patterns different. If the server has Avali + Dye mod, then you can access the alternate colourations. No extra mod needed.

 

No no, i mean, they aren't -new items-, right? Just the same item with a different color, like the clothes?

 

They're not new items, no. Just a different colour, and that different colour also happens to be a different pattern to the original. Like this, see?

 

This looks good. If for whatever reason the dye mod is uninstalled then the recolors would stay the same instead of reverting back or disappearing?

Correct. As the recolors are in the Avali mod itself, they would remain.

 

Actually, this is delicious. I'm installing that thing for the next sessions.

Wish there was a mod manager that would let me have "versions" and save management, so i can deal with one modded game and its saves, and an unmodded/differently modded game and its other saves. Online and stuff like that, can't have all the mods and saves in the same place...

 

While we're speaking of recolours, I've got a question:

Are there any colours or shades you wish you could chose for your Avali's appearance, but currently can't? I'm talking fluff/plumage/trim colours, not clothing. Right now I've got a bunch of warmer brown tones and I'm experimenting with some orange ones so ginger Avali can be a thing

Before Ryu said he was pretty done with the mod until a more stable/more promises were fulfilled/etc, he said he was going to change the color selection so it looked better overall. I mostly wish there were more 'neutral' colors, and that there was a...wider variety of brighter colors? I dunno how to word it.

 

Like I said I'm NOT USING ANY KIND OF MOD THAT CHANGES WORLD GENERATION.

Secondly, I have some concerns with the ship.


Stuff like this happens a lot around it, and I was wondering if we could try to alter the ship so we don't have to spend valuable interior space to cover over the exposed exterior bits.

Aside from that, bloody perfect, and I can't wait for more updates!

 

Not sure what you are saying by "exposed exterior bits".

 

Where I'm standing, atop the radiator fin. There's no hull separating me from it, like there is elsewhere on the ship. Similarly, the interior walls seem to stop at other points, like here:

Internally, both graphenes are the same. you can use Avali graphene for FU crafting, and vice versa.

 

FU graphene has some learnonpickup recipes.

 

Then I'm sure a small fix for that would be possible.
