    hello seeing as the Avali do not have that much lore i decided to start writting one for them based on what there was, would you like to use it once i finish?

    edit: if you would like yo see what i have done so far i could send it to you, keep in mind it will take some time seeing as i have to translate it from brazilian portuguese to english

    The Culinary Station now has recipes for me (at least the Avali ones...good enough!) but the Spicy Jerky recipe is kinda broken. I think it's looking for a Perfectly Generic Item because meatchunks is no longer in the game.

    Changing "meatchunks" to "cookedalienmeat" in \recipes\food\avalimeat.recipe fixes it.

    Thank you, I'm applying this fix now. Do note that I'm going to start holding back on updates until we have some more, so that there aren't so many small updates.
    This decision is going to continue once we return to adding new content, with each update either being patches for current stuff or a large chunk of new things.
    We're also going to try to aim for themes with each update, such as one patch being for a bunch of new furniture, or a patch that adds in dozens of new cosmetics for you to wear.

    The issue was that he made the avalilathe.config file look for files that only existed in the Extended GUI mod, and so the GUI broke for people that didn't have those files.

    Yes, and thankfully there wasn't anything special we had to do for it.
    Unfortunately, they wear the regular-shaped outfits rather than anything avali-shaped, and currently I can't find any way to make them wear avali-shaped outfits.

    Hm, well, I'm not sure how it might be done from a coding standpoint, and it would probably involve changing how crew members work altogether, but could there possibly be a way to make it so that the uniform resource that crew members use is broken up into a separate file for each race? That way, the regular humanoid races can still be business as usual by just using copies of the same uniform file (though I suppose that could open the way for themed uniforms for each race), while the Avali could have their own unique uniform. Theoretically, at any rate. I'm probably talking out of my bum here.

    That would likely require changing part of the game code itself rather than using lua or json (The two languages that mods are able to use)

    Edit: I just had a quick look and it doesn't seem like something I have access to as a modder. it seems like this is handled by the .exe itself rather than any of the asset files.

    Edit Edit: I have a theory. Will test tomorrow. For tonight, bed.

    You guys broke my Tech Bows when you updated - they fire normal arrows now rather than the explosive aerogel tubes I made for them... Their energy usage is now super unbalanced as well - I get 3 arrows off before I'm out of energy on average now across the tiers ffs.

    Also all Avali guns (and my Tech Bows) seem to be in DESPERATE need of a rather sizable DPS buff now - even the wimpiest vanilla guns of their tiers outclass them by leagues...

    I'm talking a 3x DPS buff - it really is that bad... =.=

    Weapon rebalancing will come in a later patch.
    I wasn't aware that we replaced the arrows, please accept my apologies.I;ll fix that soon.
    Turns out in order to fix that I'm going to need to make an entirely new primaryAbility for it, so this is also going to have to wait for the rebalancing effort.

    It shouldn't happen in new colonies. What mods are you using?

    No one seems to have mentioned it yet but there is a bug with the firelance, the projectile shows up above the gun when you shoot it.

    Did you do this through the tailor? If so, it won't work with multiple species on the ship (Vanilla-shape species in Avali-shape armor)

    The yellow line is simply a muzzleflash, the actual projectile is indeed going straight where you were aiming when you shot.
