RELEASED Avali (Triage) 1.11.0

So I noticed earlier that a couple of Avali tiles can't be painted: namely "avalidarkmetal", "avalidarkmetal2", "avalidarkmetal3", and "avalihexagons1". A half-hour in Photoshop and a few lines tweaked in Notepad++ later, and....


(yes, that's an in-game cap, I just cropped it way down)

I'm not really happy with how the yellow paint turned out, but dark yellow is a really hard colour to make Just figured I'd share the results anyway!

 

The way it's done, only Avali players can cook their food. It was to expand that cooking to other people once they get some crops.

 

Hey, has anyone else had trouble using /spawnitem to change the color of an avali object? I can't seem to do it with anything from the mod. I can use the command on vanilla objects, usually armor, and the objects I'm trying to dye do have colored variants, so I'm not sure what's up here. It's not a pressing issue, but since the dye mod isn't updated and hasn't been for a while, /spawnitem is the only in-game way to get dyed objects, a least for this mod.

 

Hm. True. I'll look into it. (Though it baffles me how someone can pick up an alien plant and instantly go "I know what I can make with this!")

There's a community update for the dye mod that I've tested and used in the most recent version of Starbound. It's linked in the mod description, under Addons.

where do i get nanocanvas? or is that only buyable from the settlements?

 

You can get avali nanolooms and lathes at the 3d printer in your AI. You will be able to craft the canvas in the nanoloom.

 

I see the Nanoloom, but there is nothing called lathes in there?

 

You need to craft the loom to then craft graphene on it and with the graphene, craft the canvas on the loom.

 

Try just Lathe. More specifically, Avali Nanolathe

I know this may seem a bit random, but is it just me or is it incredibly rare to find any settlements at all? I've searched probably more than 50 planets in the past 3 1/2 days... and I've only found 1 apex village...

 

Oh alright i see it now thanks, i just for what ever reason couldn't figure it out for the life of me.

 

Yeah I don't see to find any settlement either. I just found everything from other races, but no Avali anywhere. It just feels damn lonelly. kinda sad actually. Sometimes I wanted to make myself a settlement, to see if he...well "get a family" but dunno. They just don't want to spawn...
Also, no i'm not using any kind of mod that changes the world generation.

And Fevix can you put the address of that settlement you've found earlier?(Page 12) Cuz people here never seem to find a single trace of Avali people

 

If you read the Avali patch notes, if you're running Frackin' Universe, it stops Avali settlements from spawning... reasons unknown. I could only guess it might have something to do with the fact FU has custom biomes, and these probably affect Avali spawn locations.

 

Hi, I noticed that the Avali glass uses the description text of the aerotube.

 

If only this had a bit of the whole load order thing that Skyrim had, maybe adjusting the avali to load afterwards would make it add the villages... But that won't happen, of course.

Sad day... I guess i'll have to use starcheat for the data chits.

Oh, say, i've seen some colored tents over the wiki, is this still implemented? Or is that from the dye mod?

 

Making Avali to load after FU would break the FU graphene, though.

 

I've got another question, i need five steel blocks for a culinary station, but i can't make steel blocks? i even whent as far as using admin commands and still nothing? i can make iron blocks.

 

Have you made the Portable Pixel Printer from your ship's Research Station? If so, you can make Steel Blocks using 25 pixels from the basic crafting menu (the one you get when pressing C).
