RELEASED Avali (Triage) 1.11.0

Good thing we're not using the Avali Logistics Frigate, eh?

 

Well here we are, 1.0 has arrived and I'm struggling to just STICK TO VANILLA FOR ONE PLAYTHROUGH DAMNIT AVALI ; _;

 

I tried it, but the ship switch doesn't seem to work.

 

It's time to return to the stars, my pack ♥

 

So with the 3.0 update anyone else able to find the shortswords and daggers for the avali? cause they seem to not be in the same workbenches as last version.

And for the ship pet, why not try changing it to say a small raptor-esque critter. or a tiny drone

 

Hopefully just a stopgap measure, right? Perhaps one of the things that will see some work in the coming week or so?

There actually was an idea for a drone pet being discussed quite a while back, but it ended up being put on the back burner and forgotten. If I remember correctly, I think there may have been a problem figuring out the pet code or something. With 1.0's release, maybe now would be a good time to dig it up again.

 

Noticed a few small bugs:
-Tier 1 longsword is 1-2 pixels higher than it should be when wielded, resulting in bizarre animations. (don't know if this happens for other avali weapons)
-Tier 1 spear and hammer lacks a alt. ability. (don't know if this happens for other avali weapons neither)
-When jumping down a platform, the character remains in normal standing pose for half a second before starting the falling animation.

Avali was my first character in 1.0, what a shock

There was a bug with Firelance when I crafted one earlier, but knowing my luck that's been a few revisions back, since it was earlier yesterday. The light projectile mostly being rather far off above the actual Firelance. I simply recycled it, figuring it'd be fixed later.

But hey, 1.0 just released, I'm not surprised it has some growing pains.

 

That's just Starbound, it has nothing to do with Avali.

 

the updated what they needed so we can play it they will update the rest when they can get to it
Not sure if Avali have pets of their own so we can have canon pets for avali and not a human one

 

I haven't noticed this with other races... Ok, I might just be dumb.

 

anyone have a working Race Extender for the update?

 

You can use xbawks, it's on the workshop.

 

I think it's All the Avali themed Broadswords with this little thing. The Impervium DireShard looks funky, too.
More serious, ALL of the 1-handed melee weapons of Avali flavour are missing.

 

yeah ive noticed the lack of one handed weapons as well. hopefully they fix it soon.

 

For those hunting bugs, it may be a good idea to run the Avali mod alongside the Spawnable Item Pack. Spawn all the resources you need and start crafting everything and anything you can think of, see what works and what doesn't.

 

I ran into an issue with recruiting crew members the game keeps telling me that I have too many crew members and I cant recruit any more but I have no crew members also after fixing the ship when I teleported onto the ship I was immediately given the sparrow class license.

 

silly little noob question: what do i need to do to install the Avali mod for Starbound 1.0? i'm kinda confused wihth all the "old mode here" "extra thingys here" links. i love the avali since i bought Starbound long ago during early access but kinda lost track about the development state of the mod, since ryuu disapeard.
