What do you mean by that? If it's not appearing in the items list, try to take a look at the "Armors" tab, you should find them here.

It's weird that it doesn't appears unless you are in admin mode, though...

Hey, I've just got this mod. It's really, really nice, but...

The SpecOps Spelunker helmet has stats which match the Iron helmet inserts, but have the same material requirements as Durasteel. Obviously it can't actually replace the Durasteel, which means it's literally only useful if you cheat or do something else weird to be able to make one at Tier 1.

Would it be possible to revamp the SpecOps Spelunker into a set of tiered helmets that match the helmet insert stats and have the floodlight?

hrmm.. good idea. i never gave the Spelunker much love. i guess i just assumed people would replace its effect with the lighted backpacks (xenon, that modded survival EPP, so on) or EPPs with light augments after a bit.

Well, I typically did, but I like a directional light, especially at low levels.

Honestly, I'd say you could make the Spelunker itself like, T1 with the light (revamp its materials requirements to match,) but make a "helmet insert with spotlight" that has the exact same effect, crafted from the helmet insert at each tier and an Avali "Inset Lighting" block. That way it becomes a trivial upgrade if the player wants to bother.

i never thought about that. though people could then use a light with any helmet.. might just go with your tier idea. though maybe make it so you gotta craft the T1 then use the base helm as a component (adding new armor shells to it and such to make it stronger)

    And what's wrong with that?

its supposed to ONLY be on the Spelunker.

Isn't the whole point of having a cosmetic and a functional slot so that people's style choices are not limited by their need for the functions of their armor? Making it a slight-upgrade to the tiered armor helmet insert would not preclude people from using the Spelunker, but let's face facts - all of those helmets are allegedly festooned with sensors, any of which should provide night vision, as well as the fact that Avali are allegedly a race which makes heavy use of augmentations, of which enhancing visible light or installing the likes of a personal LIDAR/T-Ray Emitter would be but a trivial aug compared to, say, allowing a methane-respiring frozen-world-dwelling race to comfortably live on Earth.

I mean, I like the style of the Spelunker, but I'd like to not have to choose between it and something else I feel like wearing but don't because I need the light, or wish to go bare-headed.

you could also get the mod that allows augmenting normal armors for that purpose, just modify an existing helmet with a light augment
