I'm going to with the assumption that he's referring to the fact that avali blood = purple

 

Well, good thing this is just jam. I was being efficient in its production.

 

Like starbound's psi staff, that was not something desirable but had to be there to cover the fact psi-esque powers were a thing, as they seem to be in Starbound and will have to address eventually (Which is messy. If telekinetic powers are a thing, why do they not use telekinetics where anti-grav is needed. If they use staves that emulate psionic powers, why do they not have directed energy shields, grav lift, anti-grav, and all the myriad stuff that a "mass effect" mechanisms brings wtih it)

 

...So yeah... I've been up like all night just because once again I had to deal with my dad snoring...

I feel you. While sound personally doesn't bother me that much I remember sleeping on a two-seater couch when I was in San Diego. I'm 1m 90cm (I think that's 6'4'' for you imperials) It was not the best of times.

I think it was about 1 year ago, I had to sleep on a bed, with a coat instead of a blanket, that was thinner than me.
