well at least your happy with this form.... though its upsetting because its never gonna be as comfortable as your natural body.

Yes. I have rather hastily modified a project of mine to have a medical focus.
*presents a large syringe that doesn't have the needle at the end, it appears to be filled with chunky great semi-translucent stuff*

There's got to be someone around here..... If everyone is over on the station there's no telling how I'll find them.....
That is true, the station is quite large in size for one to navigate.....
I wish there was someone to talk to....

*Lego plops down on one of the larger pillows in the commons and begins listening to some music*

 

He threw the door open. "HELLO?! ANY DOCTORSSS HERE?" He shouted, his voice echoing off the walls.

 

Joshua slowly woke up to the sound of conversation, in his increasingly more familiar giant bed half, and in his increasingly more familiar artificial Avali body. Instinct and habit told him to go back to sleep and get more than four hours, and logic and reason responded with 'no, shut up.' He yawned, sat himself up, and waved to the chatting pair. "Hi Ehks, and... you're Yol, right? What's going on?"

 

"Oh, hey...hey Joshua. Just...having a talk..." Ehks shifted a bit, currently in his Kineptic form. "It's...nothing, really. Glad to see you're awake."

 

"Glad to know I was able to sleep through your chat. I was worried that most sounds would wake me." He paused. "This is the first time I've seen you not an Avali in a while. What's up?"

 

Ehks let go of Yol, and turned to look at Joshua. "Just...couldn't really do that as an Avali...body temperature difference and all...and this is the body I'm second-most comfortable in..."

 

He nodded. "Yeah, that makes sense... I'm surprised your second-most preferred body isn't your human one, though."

 

"I...had this body longer than my human one, since I became an Avali...so I've...had more time to get used to it."

 

"But you had your human body your whole life, before you got changed. It seems like that'd be something you never get un-used to, like riding a bike."

 

"You'd think that, yeah...but...it was my human body that got changed. It's like...your bike is something completely different, but you still feel as used to it as when it was a bike, but...you go back to a normal bike, and it doesn't feel right."

 

"But it's not like you'd just forget how to ride it, and it's not like you've just forgotten how it felt to be human before everything weird happened."

 

"It's just...difficult to describe. My human body feels like any new body I get, and...I don't know why. Maybe because...after the change, I wasn't the same...even when I went back to my human body, it was slightly different than before. A few changes...not many, but..." Ehks sighed. "I just...can't explain it. I really can't."

 

"I would have thought it'd feel normal again after it got fixed, and that even if it wasn't the form that felt the best, it'd at least be a close second... it's a shame that it's not, after all you've been through."

 

"But on another subject... I listened to a bunch of Avali music last night. I never was much of a music person... was. ...I have to say that I definitely am now. So, so many instruments, none of them simply harmonizing with each other, but fitting together in some other, unique way all its own... I've never heard anything like it. Probably because I don't think humans could really process anything like it, which would explain never having made anything like it. But, also... it really drove home the point, that... I don't think like a human anymore. Whether it was the all the stuff it took to shove my brain in this little head and make it work, or all the time I've spent and all the things I've seen... and heard, since then... my mind really isn't human anymore. And... what is it now? Avali... or some limbo between the two? I really have no idea..."

 

Ehks reached over, and gave Joshua a reassuring pat. "No mattr what...it doesn't really matter. You're still you, and...that's what really counts."
