Alright. And I'm sorry that I misunderstood the problem. Vinely, your art and spriting is certainly not bad. Hell, I think in even actually just posting it and doing it regularly, you're ahead of the curve.

But the world's full of critics. Sooner or later, there'll be someone you can't ask to be quiet, can't run from. A manager who gets in your face over something you did, an employer who turns down your job application. And when that happens, you've got no choice but to take that and hide the pain and seal it deep away. And it hurts, it really does. Every single one of those things has happened to me. I've had a manager threaten dire consequences upon me because when a customer's order was wrong I corrected it myself instead of asking the kitchen to fix it. I've had my applications turned down for no reason other than that I was honest about my capabilities and methods. I've had teachers grade the stories I was most proud of poorly.

But you can't ask these people to stop hurting you. You can't break down in front of them and ask for a day off. As one of the finest lines I've seen in a video game said, "it takes courage to face your fears and seize your victories. Never let them see you without a smile." So while I can see that it hurts to face criticism with a nod and a grin, it's... well, it's also something you're going to have to learn to do. Whether here in an environment where everyone means well and wishes the best for you, or out in the world under the hands of a manager who may or may not understand, who may or may not care.

It's your choice; but I don't want that choice to hurt you more than it has to.

Not to fuel the fire, but @Vinely, here is my first ever sprite that I have not deleted, god knows why.



I, along with many bad sprites, to TO, and I got feedback and criticism. People told me that I had to do shading, do outlines, never use pure grey for metal, make sure the scaling is perfect, etc. etc.
Of course, sometimes it hurt my feelings, but I listened. After about 8 months, I could do this:



Without criticism, maybe I couldn't have learned how to shade by myself. Maybe I couldn't have figured out outlines.

But don't take this the wrong way, I don't want to force this down your throat. I respect your choices.

(Also I like how "Fuel the fire" sounds. Don't know why. It would make a cool band name, too.)

 

*sighs* well gonzo that would be considered a sunburn.... from a campfire... sorry bout the feathers but i had to or you would not be here right now *offers a plate with the thresher meat and some of the vegitables he had found while exploring that were not toxic and tasty!*
