Avali Nexus 23: Title Pending

I am glad I bought Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. It is easily one of the best RPG's I've played in a long time! I want to be hyped for Xenoblade X, but everytime I get hyped I am always let down eheh..

it looks as amazing as i expected it to be. granted it's completely different in terms of tone and theming than XBC but that's because humans stuck on alien planet in sci-fi rather than human-equivalents on two giant god bodies.

 

Why does the robots have to be called Skells? Won't that mess up one of the songs since the lyrics say Dolls? I am guessing they are going to change a lot unfortunately..

I don't think they'll change that much. If they do, it's only a minor edit anyways (Both are one-syllable words, the song lyrics don't use them as a rhyming thing so it's fine)
i mean apparently it's supposed to be released stateside late this year but i find that hard to believe unless they've been working on the translations around the same time.

 

I agree it looks impressive! I checked out some videos, but not too much since I don't want to spoil things, but I have a bad feeling I am going to like half of the game and dislike the other half. I get it's trying to be different, but the whole idk NLA (New Los Angeles) and USA stuff kind of puts me off. I just can't put my finger on it. I just think I may not like it as much as the original. I will still get it, but it's going to take a lot more than graphics to impress me sadly. I just hope the story doesn't suffer the usual Sci-fi tropes..[DOUBLEPOST=1431836321][/DOUBLEPOST]I am hoping it comes out this year. I mean now that Zelda Wii U is out of the picture for a 2015.. We need a really awesome game for this year and I was hoping Xeno X is going to be that game.

 

Tropes doesn't mean bad. It has mechs and aliens and stuff (That's not spoiler; something revealed five minutes into the game and all.)
NLA kinda makes sense, I guess. Mostly because it's much easier getting NA voice actors rather than british ones, i guess. The only reason XBC had the british actors was because, originally, it wasn't going to be released stateside.

I know it makes sense to have NA voice actors because the USA and all, but It's weird seeing the USA involved when it should be a world government type of thing instead. I find it hard to believe only NLA (part of the USA remnants) survived and no other countries did. Even if this is just a game I kind of am speculating things in the story already.. (mostly in a good way so far since I am really interested how this story will turn out). What I really want to know by the end of the game is if it connects in any way to the first Xenoblade even though it's supposed to be a spiritual successor. I am hoping it does have something to do with it even if it's a tiny connection. Well, forum's back up but sans the last 2 weeks of posts, including my entire art/lore dump and the D20 RP system I was helping collaborate on. So, like, the most important 2 weeks of posts. Shithosts are shit

Yeah, the last backups were in april. They normally happen once a month, I think, and...well, it's late in the month.
