*Hylan receives an encrypted transmission from a nearby planet a few nights ago* (unspecified). *Asks Rin if he can go check it out*

"Rin I am going to go check this out since it's been bothering me for the past few nights."

*Rin replies* "Alright.. but promise me you will be safe and message me once you find out any info!"

*Hylan in a confident tone* "Don't worry I will be safe. I have experience with these types of situations.."

*Hylan gets his gear ready and takes a 2-seater Smuggler-class Craterunner ship down to the planet*

After landing on the planet..

*Hylan is surprised* "Huh? I never seen a planet quite like this one before.."

*Hylan is cautious* "I better tread carefully and quietly"

*Hylan grabs his gear and sets out to find out where the origin of the signal was coming from* "It should be around here somewhere.."

A few moments later..

*Hylan Notices someone is following him* "Whoever you are show yourself!

"...?!"

*Hylan quickly turns around* "?!"

*Hylan is surprised* "Who are you? ... "

*??? responds* "You don't remember me do you?"

*Hylan responds* "I don't.. I am sorry I suffered from memory loss so, I don't even remember my own past."

*??? motions Hylan to follow* "This way!"

*Hylan responds* "W-wait! Hold up!"

*??? responds* "Shhh we don't have much time! Come on! Quickly now and keep quiet"

*Hylan follows ???* "..."

*??? points to the entrance to a secret hideout and speaks softly* "Through here!"

*??? speaks in relief* "Alright! Now we can finally talk face to face.."*??? takes off her helmet*

*??? takes her helmet off and focuses her gaze on Hylan's blue scarf* "That scarf.."

*Hylan looks at his scarf and then at ??? and responds* "Yes?"

*??? speaks in a gentle tone* "Do you remember where you got it from?"

*Hylan replies in a calm manner* "No.. I've always held it very dear to me though. Why?"
*??? replies in a sad tone* "I see.."*A tear rolls down the side of her face* "Then it's about time to tell you who I am."

*??? she points to a picture of Hylan and her when they were 12* "I've been searching for you all this time.."

*Hylan goes over to where she is pointing and looks at the date and signature of the picture which reads.. Rura* "..."

*Hylan's breath gets heavy and his heartbeat races as he gets more and more nervous.. His head starts to hurt as if he is trying to remember something he had forgotten long ago* "... Rura?!"

*Hylan collapses and falls unconscious* "..."

*Rura shocked* "Hylan?!"

A few days later..

*Rura plays a familiar tune on her flute*

*Hylan opens his eyes and focuses his attention on Rura* "..."

*Rura notices Hylan awake, pauses, and speaks with a soft voice* "Don't worry you are fine, but you did give me quite a scare!"

*Hylan gets teary eyed* "Rura.. It that really you? It can't be! I thought I was never going to see you again.."

*Rura wipes his tears away and smiles* "I am here for you now."

*Hylan and Rura both speak at the same time*

*Hylan responds* "I don't want to lose you again! Why don't you come with me?"

*Rura replies* "Why don't you stay with me? We could start a new life together!"

*Hylan and Rura both look at each other puzzled as the room gets silent*

*Hylan broke the silence by singing a familiar song*

*Rura feeling nostalgic* “I remember that song since I used to play my flute along with it!”

*Rura starts playing her flute along with Hylan’s singing*

After the content mood settles in..

*Rura mentions* “How about you come along with me for a while? We can be together just like we used to when we were young!”

Rura adds, “I know it sounds like a hard idea to swallow at first, but it’s not like you will be gone forever..”

*Hylan blushed as he spoke* “Rura I am glad you care about me so much, but I can’t just leave Rin and the others..”

*Hylan explains* “I mean even being here now took a great amount of effort. Rin pulled a lot of strings for me to be here right now. If I left then there would be a lot of people out for my head.. sometimes I wish I could just start over..”

*Rura replied* “It seems like you trust Rin with your life.”

*Hylan responded* “I do. He’s is like a brother to me. He has helped me out when I thought that I would die in the military."

*Rura proposed an idea* “I want to go to the planet we grew up on at the place where my mother died with you, so her spirit can finally be at ease. She loved you like one of her own. So, will you come along with me?”

*Hylan sheds a few tears and speaks in a sad tone* “I can't even remember her name.. I want to remember the ones I loved and who loved me as well. I want my want my memories back!”

*Rura explains* “Her name was Ruraru. I'm sure you'll remember her once we set foot on the grounds where she passed.”

*Hylan sighs, then says in a happy tone* “Ruraru.. It sounds nice. I can see where you got your name from. Yes, I would like to visit the place I grew up with you and and your mother.”

*Hylan explains* “I will ask Rin for an extended leave, but once we do this how about coming along with us?”

Hylan adds, “I am sure Rin will accept and you will be treated as a guest.”

*Rura looked worried* “I don't know.. I don’t like all the fighting that’s going on out there.. so I tend to keep to myself. I don’t want to be targeted by anyone especially if I am traveling on a mercenary ship.”

*Hylan understands and responds* “I know... I sometimes wish for a more peaceful life.”

Hylan adds, “All I know is that I don't want to lose you again, so I will do anything I can to be be with you again.”

*Rura smiles and gives him a hug* “I am not giving up on you either.. now that I finally found you!”

*Hylan receives a message from Rin* “Hey, you okay?”

*Hylan explains the situation to Rin* “Hmm… I see. Well, just message me when you’re ready. We have a few spare rooms anyways.”

Later that day…

*Hylan sends a message to Rin* “Alright, I will explain that to Rura.”

*Hylan mentions to Rura* “Rin has offered a room next to mine. You’re welcome to stay... I promise I won’t let you die. Rin wouldn’t try to put you in harm’s way.”

*Rura is hesitant at first, but calmly nods yes in agreement*

*Hylan sends out another message* “Ok, Rin we will meet up with you once I help her pack up.”

After Hylan helps Rura pack her belongings..

*Hylan hefts his gear* “Alright, let’s head back to my cargo ship.”

*Rura motions for Hylan to follow* “Ok, but follow me - I know a shortcut!”

*Hylan follows Rura*

After loading Rura’s stuff onto the cargo ship..

*Rura worried* “Oh no! It’s the group of ex-mercenaries!”

*Hylan shocked* “Rura.. I thought this planet was safe?!”

*Rura calmly explains* “It was at first! They have recently made their home here and mess with the locals. Things like enslaving, killing, stealing, well… you get the picture.”

*Hylan sends a distress signal and message to Rin* “Rin! There is a group of ex-mercenaries here! I need bac-”

Transmission is cut off..

Meanwhile..

*Hylan motions Rura to get in* “We need to get out of here now!”

*Rura is hesitant and responds* “We can't just leave the locals here to be the target of these ex-mercenaries!”

*Hylan sighs and shakes his head* “I guess I have to take them on while I wait for Rin’s response...”

*Hylan pulls out his pulse saber* “He cuts one of the ex-mercenaries in half.”

*Ex-mercenary leader grunts* “You'll pay for that with your life!” *He shoots at Hylan*

*Hylan blocks the bullets being shot and tries to thrust his sword into the leader but misses* "...?!"

*Ex-mercenary leader dodges the attack*

*Ex-mercenary leader boasts* “Hey, little Avali boy! You need more experience if you want to deal with me!”

*Hylan gets frustrated* “Where’s Rin and the others at a time like this?”

*Ex-mercenary leader grins* “Hey... If you hand over the girl, I’ll let you live.. She has been a nuisance to our organization. Not to mention she’ll fetch a pretty price...”

*Hylan yells* “NEVER! I'll end you!"

*Suddenly, an aerogel blade is pierced through the bandit leader’s chest. An avali in a cloak appears out of nowhere behind him.* “Yo. Heard you needed a bit of help. We’ve also recently received a job to clear out ex-mercenaries in this sector… I’m just glad we came in time.”

*Ex-mercenary leader gets the last laugh* "You think this is over?! I ain't dead yet.. Also It doesn't end with me.. We've got more of our kind! *Pulls out Rin's blade and kicks him back as he cackles*

*Ex-mercenary leader gets serious* He regenerates the damage he took from the aerogel sword stab* "Thanks to Davin Inc. experiments on me.. I can regenerate any damage done!"

More ex-mercanaries appear out of nowhere..

*Hylan and Rura both respond* "Davin Inc?!"

*Ikari and Ar’koth appear and try to take control of the situation*

to be continued in the main rp storyline with Rin, Ikari, and Ar'koth.

Alright, you should be good to go. Normal mutagen doesn't seem to have any effect, only super concentrated stuff. This should let you go back to normal.

I see someone is having as much fun as I am xD High five! And yes, the retrofitting of the HW2 engine onto the HW1 campaign, while it screwed a lot of things up like formations and the auto-scaling gets out of whack fast if you're any good at building fleets, turned good old salvies into fearsome beasts.
