I'm trying to make a character who looks intimidating and borderline psychotic without making them look like Leo if he was a different species.

i .... have never seen something like this before.... its almost like a corruption... i hesitate to state it but it kinda has some dark pressence about it... not like my abyssal energies or my mothers stygian... this .... this is different.... honestly i would like to examine that platform to see if the effects are harmful and if so how it can be reversed... i rather not have a friend's life be taken by something like this unless its benign... if you know what i mean...

Smallpaw sighed, and rolled up his sleeve to show the rest of his arm. The arm was much like his had - pale green, leathery plates continuing from the back of his hand all the way up, with black fur poking through the gaps in the plating. Everywhere else was just the dark fur. "Should I take my shirt off so you may get a better look?"

 

I could go for some cow right now.

 

if your okay with removing your shirt i would he happy to examine it... i want to make sure its not a threat to your life...

*she softly rubbed her paw against the leathery plates and pundered*

"Yeah, I'd been wanting to sit down and figure out what I can do with it the next time I got a free moment... it actually looks really cool." He reached back and touched a finger to his neural jack. "So what do you mean when you say 'amnesiatic'? And are you saying that each ship only works with one jack, or that it's the jack that needs the ship?"

He paused for a moment. "...You mean ...you're literally a god?"

 

"Yes, I can feel it. Less so than I would otherwise, but...I feel it." Smallpaw tugged the zipper on the front of his shirt down, and neatly slipped it off. Sure, it was a primitive mechanism, but he preferred it over the feeling of having clothes simply mould over him. His shoulder was slightly strange - the plates simply merged into the shoulder, like they didn't finish growing, and the black fur gradually whitened until it was past the shoulder. Smallpaw looked at his shoulder, and sighed. "At least it doesn't look horribly unnatural." He gingerly touched his shoulder, feeling how it just felt...well, there was no different feeling. It was as if his body was always like that, almost. "The platform was...supposed to activate living weapons. And I can only assume that is what happened to me. Somehow, I was designated as one, and 'activated', or something, and this must be what activation entails...but why now? Why did it not happen earlier? Why is it only my arm?"

"I had to...uh...pretend I had amnesia, forgot everything...wouldn't do me very well to say that I was a human in an Avali body to scientists. And...the ship they had on hand, the cheapest one available needs a neural jack to function. Can't even start it up without one...it's a glorified key to the ship, except useful for so much more."
