and i present to you all a brief history of the eldari:

The Legacy of the Titans Part 1:

    The Shaping of the Galaxy

The Titans, beings from the early days of existence, gazed at the vast emptiness of the galaxy and envisioned greatness.
So they moved about collecting the cosmic dust and forming the stars and nebulas.
And when they’re hard work was done they slumbered for it was a long day.

Millennia pass and once more the Titans stirred, they looked onto the galaxy and saw all the stars both new and familiar.
And set about shaping the planets and laying the foundations for life.
And once again they slumbered for it was a long day.

But before they did they formed the Jinn from dust, mist, fog, and storm.
Where the Titans were powerful and broad the Jinn where nimble and precise,
They told them to plant the seeds of life.

And when they awoke they witnessed the miracle that they had brought.
They saw the galaxy full of life and they were filled with love.
And what followed where many good days.

On one day they rouse from their sleep, and saw their galaxy their work altered.
Not but time but by the hands of others, beings now called Precursors.
And that, that was the beginning of dark days.

// not harm, heal. Marxon's leg gots stabbed all the way through (like a railgun round) then after a few minutes it was fully healed. Imagine if a solider got shot by a railgun, the shot hit him in the leg and went all the way through, due to the angle and projectile shape it shredded his muscles pretty bad, this would normally be a critical injury, nearly getting your leg torn off, that could then be null and void after 10 mins. Soldiers with that level of healing would be immortal in a firefight if they just had some good armor.
// secondly, it could very very easily be turned into a weapon, they are so small they could work as a sort of acid, imagine if a paintball sized shot of pure nanites hit a spot of exposed skin, then instead of trying to "fix" the smug there they start disassembling the tissue (which they easily can due to their size) and then continue to quickly eat away at whatever is behind the skin. Now imagine if you could make it rain nanites the same way it rains water on earth, now do that over an enemy encampment. Things the size of bacteria could be lethal and everything the slightest bit wet from the nanite rain would be useless, be it vehicles (wouldn't want to sit on a seat that is covered in robots that slowly eat you) weapons and ammo ( wouldn't want to hold a gun that dissolves your hand) and worst, food. Imagine eating these nanites. They would gut you alive from the inside out. Now these "acid" nanites could easily be the same ones others use for healing, so suddenly you have a weapon that dissolves enemies and heals allies.
// and since all of this is easily in the realm of possibility, I say that even if it is possible, it's still too OP to use.[DOUBLEPOST=1421791758][/DOUBLEPOST]
// hmm... I personally still feel they are a bit too OP. Though not sure what to do about it other than just make them overall less effective and just remove/scale down the debuff.

//wait wha.... i just... personally i feel like my characters are like the boarder and i am close to fowler. only reason i don't change is because i am told i do it right... bow fowler damages my character with his? can you ehksplain please... i am kinda missing how honestly... unless its by reputation?
//its partly why Coro does not use nanites for her medicine... well on top of the fact she fears technology to a point... she barely accepted the neural jack but she realized it was something needed to get a proper avali life and its what she wanted to experience. She even declined on marxon's quicker healing machine before because it was "too new" of technology. She would never use a system unless she herself would be willing to use it on herself... its why she tends to avoid some treatments... and like with Rose way way back when she was on the life support system. She herself was uncomfortable with it... she planned to be trained in it and actually experience what it was like to be on the system... till she got trapped with Feather's curse and found out first hand how it was like... now she is comfortable with using it if needs be because she knew how it worked and how it felt to the patient. something she is a stickler for.
//^^^^^^ hence Coro's fear of them

// Good thoughts gonzo, and I have to admit, I left out a things while explaining from pure laziness

// Marxon was wounded and got a hyperdose from Rune. Now he needs to lay around because they have actually HARMED his body by using not only "stockpiled" nutriens, but everything they were able to find. They said that his leg will be out of danger (partially because Rune treated him with "conventional" things too as you surely remember). In a fight were you don't have instant access complex medical facilities, stockpiled nutriens (infusions), REAL treatment you would die if that method is used. And additionally you would also need to fightm where your body is actually DOING something and at the same time there would be no time to lay around for some hours (even if they HAD such equipment there)

// Nanites that are not connected to an AI system with multiple medical staff members are "dumb". They have to be inserted IN the body and will only do ONE thing at THIS location. Also, they only work for a real short amount of time (opposed to the nanites in labs/high-tech medical facilities). They are also not controllable.

// Thanks for your point by the way. Talking about technical stuff is fun ^^. And it's good to know that someone READS the stuff I write. Thanks gonzo. SO, I think I have covered every aspect. If you still think they are game/lore-breaking please do tell (and ideally give me an idea how to fix it).

// what I meant with Fowlers char damaging yours is that his too was a sort of reaper, he just did respect nor know the rules associated with it. Like a kid playing with fire in his room.
// on the other hand you know how it works and how to RP with it to keep it somewhat balanced, like a Boy Scout setting up a nice fire pit in a secure location while out camping.
// you see, by not knowing how to use or apply his reaper and god abilities (which seem slightly copied from your chars) and just tagging them on along with the rest of his stuff just breaks it.
