The third game (EV Nova) has a PC version, and once you register it there are total conversion mods that implement the first two games (along with a whole bunch more add-ons of various flavors). Blargh, I'm honestly tempted to switch to nightly builds, but I don't want to lose what I've already built with Gatsby just yet.
You mean the game is not booting up the nightly build or it's crashing to the desktop? Or are you simply stuck at some point in the game? Either way there's the FAQ & Support forums that can help you with issues regarding the nightlies. But be advised that the nightlies is broken. You're not supposed to keep your progress at any point. This is just for those that can't wait to see the new stuff Cf is making.
Hang on, it has been 198 days since the last stable update? Are you sure there aren't any temporal distortions in your area?
*ahem* Now lets be clear, the moon is in space right...SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.....I hope I get to see the space core randomly flying one day ;-;
I understand that devs are working, and that things will take as long as they will take. I am also sure this point has been listed before but I can't help but say my peace. The last update we have seen in 3-4 months has been a very small one, that came a couple months after another update which had some good content. Point being the game hasn't really changed or improved in around 6 months. and before the arguement is given that there is nightly updates, I have tried this mode and the game hasn't started once since, so for people like me it isn't just broken it purely won't play at all, and i am not the only one. I feel 6 months is a good long time to be patient, this is the first time I have ever posted to speak my mind, but from viewing the boards it really seems that the community is dwindling into a small user base of fanboys who have developed a love for the dev's in place of a love for an improvement of the game. I understand I get it we all grow attached, and that is cool. But for those who did pay for the game, who aren't on here to cheer on the dev team, who have a game that won't run the nightly update version, Starbound is quickly going from one of the best games I have ever loved to another single title in my long list of Steam games, collecting pixel dust, just like my old collection of original NES games. I really hope to see something before Jan 2015. An update which brings something new, that will actually run, which really rewards the few who are left if things continue as they are. Right now I am giving Starbound the benefit of the doubt that all these months of waiting are really going to bear fruit, but as it stands, broken game and broken hopes to see any of these "nightly updates" which has replaced any actual live version update on steam in months. I am sure someone the fanboys will soon swarm me with hatred as they have so many before... Kind regards, and respect - A Starbound Fan
The most recent one. Although, something about their starter quest is bugged and using them will crash your game.
Hey, do you guys (devs) think that you could make the Ore dropping on death in the nightly builds optional? Its kind of frustrating to loose 100+ iron bars because a miniboss ran up to you out of nowhere.
Wait, unless something changed that I'm not aware of, item drop on death only happens on hardcore or permadeath. On Normal difficulty, you shouldn't lose anything beyond pixels. Did they change that?
What? That's absurd! That's preposterous! You hear that @Tiy ? Preposterous I say!! Such travesty I shall not withstand. I'll mod it if needed be.
If need be? Yeah, need is. Go ahead. http://community.playstarbound.com/...-not-time-for-bs-no-ore-drop-upon-death.2241/
