Sooooo, I'm the only person who immediately pops torches on walls with flickering lights because screw not being able to see? What atmosphere?
OMG.... Between the new Timer Logic Gates, those Hylotl stuff that look like they're fit for a club, and THIS the builder within me is already imagining lots and lots of possible designs for a Space Dance Club in the future...... ..... Y'know what, screw the wipes! I'm building one of those as soon as Arma fixes up all the flickering lights!! I just can't hold the compulsion of building it!! It's too cool an idea to let it get cold on my head.

Wait, do consoles have lighting maps now? Because the center looks fully illuminated when everything is turned off. I don't remember seeing that before. But I haven't downloaded a nightly build since the items were being worked on and the largeImage references for mods were broken. I'm gonna have to rip into these new assets! Fun things can be done with lighting...
am I the only one seeing the outpost gate approach image instead? EDIT: Ctrl+F5 fixed the problem. Strange that it had the outpost gate approach stored though
Is there also a way to stop Torches and Lights from flickering entirely? (In the options, perhaps?) I ask because my girlfriend (and others as I've read on the forums) are getting headaches by all the lights flickering... It would be a shame if she cannot enjoy the game for longer than a few minutes because of that...! I hope it's something that can be adjusted in the future! Keep up the great work!
Spooky, good sounds!!! Makes me wanna know whats down there! Perhaps one or two of the flickering lights could be a bit more constant but dull to help cast an ominous tone but shed some light. Not like I can make a game let alone tweak the programming.. the game is looking cool!
It's possible that they'll cheat and disallow the placing of torches in shielded structures. You WILL have atmosphere whether you like it or not!!
is there a light property to make the light reaction to materiel different : a kind of light that is stopped by liquid, and an other one very bright in contact with liquid. An other kind of light who can travel far in most materials without diffusion (so without emitting light, like if it was optical fiber and with high diffusion when it hit ore for example (and you will be able to make a spelunker hat that make ore brightening thru wall. Some light reactive to gravity dependent materials (sand and other falling ones) and stop by 2 case deep wall (so you can see adjacent sand far in open area but only very close thru walls).

Noooooooo...makes my head hurt so much. ><;; I like the atmosphere as I approach, but it's gotta be up to my character how those flickering lights get handled. With a pickaxe if possible, of course.
