Hmmm light control feels really nice. One major suggestion is to make this wired items that can control lights Invisible (to who is not using the wiring tool), some items really make sense into immersion if we can't see them and things still happen.
now to make this in starbound ModEdit: Gif removed on request, as seizures are a very real thing. and play music on a saxophone, just like every rave
Chucklefish presents... *Bayformers bass drop* BASES (read in Floran: "BAAAAY-SESSSSS") What if the stargate has that kind of lighting, but in red?
throw your guns and blades in the air and flash the lights like yah just don't care..RAvveeEE PaaaRRttYYY
i know i for one am gonna make a mod that makes my flashlight flash between red and blue as fast as posable maybe ad in some other colors
Feels mysterious, makes me want to explore the abandoned Moon Mine. The alarm sound and stuff is pretty cool, really adds effect- like something horrible happened, causing everyone to evacuate. I think the digger boss would really fit in this place. Reminds me of a horror game, but less freaky. Well, great job guys! I can't wait to see what you guys come up with next.
Time to rave!! I was going to put a relevant gif, but... You know what? Why giving fish when you can give the river? http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/x-raves/photos (Don't go anywhere near there if you have problems with flashing images and strobe lights, seriously, don't) Some people do not realize how important lighting is! I'm glad you do! That lighting gave that dungeon template the visual impression that it needed. I wonder if you'll ever add some object that can cycle through different lighting colors, or make light change when it goes through a 'coloring' tile like a glass window or colored translucent brick. That'll be awesome.
Would there be some kind of way to implement temporary flickers just before a light source becomes stable, especially for lights that are large, or not typically on often, or ones that have been off for a long time in, say, an old abandoned base. I'm just imagining that it's be awesome to go into a dark room and flip a switch and watch as the huge, overhead lights that have not been turned on in decades struggle for a moment before coming on completely. Or those smaller lights that don't quite turn on before they blind you because it takes them a moment to "power up".
*flickering intensifies* That is seriously cool. Seems like this has a lot of potential to create some truly unnerving derelict ships to explore. I know I wouldn't want to go down that hallway in the video.
Now all they need to do is introduce the event based system - and all of a sudden you can create a more dramatic scene based on what happens
All we need is for a colossal energy being to emerge, then: Act condescending Brag about how powerful it is Say how more evolved it is then you Than it will attack for little reason other than "BECAUSE I CAN!!!" And thus a boss fight starts... That or it will place you on a random planet along with a nearby pilot of another spaceship and force you to fight to the death:O
