Asteroid belts and the Survival system

Honestly, it struck me that by the time I could craft a survival system, I no longer needed it at all.

When you're really hungry for ores and whatnot, when asteroid fields would have been really useful, they're deadly, I spent a good half an hour mining one and dying repeatedly so I could just grab enough diamond to make a pickaxe out of without having to actually, you know, go looking.

Eventually though, you get the survival system, but really, by the time you craft it so that you dont die in the asteroid fields, you're rolling about in so much mined up ores and whatnot that the very idea of entering an asteroid field to slowly mine up ores from the dangerously seperated asteroid stone, strikes me as absurd. (especially when ores are virtually just as easy to get on considerably less dangerous biomes)

I LOVE the asteroid biomes, and the moon biomes, for what they are, I think they're really, really cool ideas, and think they might just need a tiny bit of an extra touch to give them the pzazz they need to be as exciting as they deserve to be. Naturally this will, through the course of the beta, likely be adressed, but I just thought I'd open up discussion for a bit.

 

You can dig quite a bit of ore and beam back up before you suffocate. There is even an alarm that sounds to tell you that you're running dangerously low on oxygen.

 

You'll die of cold before you suffocate at the moment, anyways. With that said I love asteroid fields.
Maybe without the system your lungs should just pop instantly anyways, what with the lack of pressure.

 

yeah I know, but I only had like, tweleve pixels on me at the time so I thought it was better to have a few more seconds of mining time than to care about losing them at all.
