Quote taken from the roadmap. What liquids do you expect/want to see in starbound. I guess water is in, and maby oil aswell. What would be sweet however is things like cider seas and the likes.

What are your thoughts on the matter?

I saw they wondered about Acid, Oil, Water, Lava (lava isn't quite a liquid)....

GAS STUFF (yes GAS can be liquid)
Plasma is also a nice thing to find in planets!
Some kind of ORES in Liquid form, like Soil > MUD ^^

 

I was thinking more along the lines of hazardous liquids such as on really cold planets, have liquid nitrogen pools or highly acidic or sulfer poisoned liquids that would harm us, but wouldn't harm the life on the planet. I would also love to see the collection of the liquids and put them on another biome in large amounts to watch the species on a planet change over time depending on what different material you bring from another planet. Just wishful thinking I guess.

 

I'm hoping that most of the seas will be sail-able, so I can be a pirate! YARR!
And maybe the different liquids could have different physics depending on the gravity and the viscosity. That would be pretty damn cool.

 

Somewhat liquid, but big mud/tar/quicksand areas would be cool.

It may depend of the Planet generation to generate my specific liquids as Azote, Gas, etc... :alien:

Some of the types of liquids we may encounters will be easy to guess at of course; I too do wonder if we will encounter useful liquids that can be harvested for various purposes as well. Heck, dangerous liquids could be fun to harvest as well for various purposes; moat generation, decoration, etc.

 

Joke's on you, the US wouldn't exist anymore OOH, though that would be hilarious if there was an NPC space nation that slowly conquered planets.

I'd like to find a planet that once had an ocean, but became completely dry, hot, and barren for whatever reason.
