Armour outside of crafting

Has anyone found any armour in starbound outside the crafting system? it'd be nice to stumble upon some armour or atleast a blue print for some armour other then the few default ones we get.

 

Only armor BPs I've found is for avian starting armor off a low level avian sky pirate ship.

 

well, i found some costumes that give 1 armor lol. But yeah, if there was hidden armor that would be awesome!!!!

 

Not hidden Armour. Armour needs to be in chests and in drops nearly as much as weapons, not as much as weapons but close to it, There should be a massive variety in the armour we wear, maybe it has less protection but adds more resistance to fire or ranged weaponry in particular, maybe it's like a cloak shield so when an enemy hits me it gets set on fire, Shit like that would be great.

 

Well, i used hidden as in you have to go and find it lol. and stuff like that would be very neat, but it is in beta, and functions like those are not really top priority. but hopefully they will be implemented soon!!!

 

I want armour that spawns fireballs that spin around me and fly off when it detects danger and when they hit they have the force of a nuclear explosion!

Not when the enemies where stronger armour that has double that power, I WANT TO FIGHT A CHALLENGE, EVERY NPC SHOULD BE A BOSS- lol nah xD.

 

I don't think there is any armour in the game currently besides what the player crafts and vanity items, but there are comments in the drop tables that indicate that at some point there were. (I think it's the apex lab drops specifically, saying armour should be dropping about 2% of the time, but there is nothing actually listed underneath at the moment)

Hopefully there is in the future.

 

I hope so the wiki claims there are over 800 pieces currently planned or in game, I've only came across about 18 pieces.

 

part of the 800 might be the vanity items, since they do give some armor. and I've found quite a number of them.

 

I'd like a variety in Practical armour, like the Winter Solider set, low armour but high temperature protection. I'd like a low armour protection but high nuclear power explosives strapped to it's chest
