First off my apologies if this post has already been made by someone else. Anyway, one part of the game that kinda irks me is that once you upgrade your armor you can do nothing else with your older, yet still cool looking, armor. For example my Hylotl character just crafted the Pond equipment, and now the Puddle equipment is outdated and suckish. However I still really like the way the armor looks. So I think there should be armor stands in the game to display cool looking armor and even collectible garments that you get along the way (I just found a dinosaur hat ). I just think this would be a really neat ascetic to buildings, as there is already Glitch knight armor stands, plus it would be a nice way to store your armor. I'm not sure if this is just me, but let me know what you guys think.
Absolutely. And a shelf to display other items. You can't show off your valuables when they are stuck inside a chest for no one to see. Speaking of. Locking chests, also a good feature.
My apologies if this is considered necroing, it was not intended to offend I actually stumbled upon this thread from googling for an armour stand in starbound. Since obviously a suggestion had to be made, it isn't implemented. Definitely agre.
There are lots of mods out currently that have armor stands in them. I personally like Electric Home Defence but there are some that are just mannequins.
Mannequins would still be a cool idea. At this stage of the beta, unless something becomes implemented or forcibly-not-implemented (Peaceful Sector X, for example), I think good suggestions should be brought back to the top! Then, the devs can see that people still believe something is a good idea, and hopefully they consider it for the next patch.
I support the idea too. Mannequins or armor stands could not only work as storage, but are also a good decoration if 'filled' with armor.
One of my absolute favorite parts of Terraria was how i could set up armor stands to show off my armor that I had grinded hours to get, and I honestly see no point in not having them in Starbound. All they would do is make the game better!
