Armor? Isn't accumulative?

    So i finally created all Gold armor! HUZZAH! however i still only have 13 armor? This doesn't seem to make sense. I know changes are coming to weapons and levels but ... this seems weird for armor.

    Your armor doesn't have "defense" it has an "armor level"

    Your total armor level is the average of your equipped armor.

    Yeah it's a weighted average.

    I wouldn't worry too much about the current system, it's basically the opposite of armour penetration or almost like the armour level. Basically means you can easily handle all mobs up to level 13 and likely get badly murdered by ones level 17 - 20.

    And that is why they are changing it to make it easier to understand. Which is a shame really, yes it's confusing but I've never seen a system like it so I would have liked to see it further developed. Ah well, I trust the developers to make the right choice!

    See the issue i'm seeing is i'm averaged at level 13 armor, now the real problem I'm having is trying to handle ANYTHING above level 15.
    I can 1 shot them with the level 25 titanium weapons i ahve but they also 1 shot me. This puts me in a spot where obtaining the next tier of armor past Gold is rather hard... considering i've yet to find any platinum.

    Also, going into higher level planets the dungeons are a pain considering a lot of the enemies have ranged weapons and i have a bow that will do nothing to them

    Yeah this is a common issue for pretty much anybody who has made it to the second sector and beyond, the whole thing is getting redone over the weekend (no 100% confirmed date for the update as of yet). So when the next update rolls out, Tiy has said it will be more balanced so you won't get one shot by mobs when moving between sectors.

    It's especially a shame because it's really not confusing at all once it's explained, it's just not something you can intuitively grasp upon seeing it

    Platinum only naturally appears level 34 planets and higher, I recommend skipping it. I just sucked up the fact that I could be one timed and rushed ahead. If you get good at timing swings you shouldn't be taking many hits anyway.

    As for dungoens, a shield is your friend, or building walls.

    Agreed, it took me a few deaths and head scratching moments but it makes perfect sense when I read up about it and tested it out a bit more. But not much can be done, it's getting changed so will just have to wait and see how the new system works. But the joy of a beta (especially an early one) is it can get changed again until it's perfect.

    ya as jester said the gear and monster systems are being reworked, im pretty sure it will be better than the current version regardless but since its so last minute I expect the system to need tweaked over time.
    I generally just carry my bucket of tar and fly with my butterflies past things then dump my tar all around them when I actually need to kill them so they cant move ^_^
