We can always use a crusade, so I present you Robo-Crusader Armor. This is also my first pixel art manly because I didn't feel like doing it in 3d.

Tentacle Armor!
My favorite piece of armor is a slimy purple thing.
It was crafted from the arms of the tentacle king.
It is really quite soft, but still helps my defense,
for the many appendages make it quite dense.
I feel that the armor has worn down my speed,
but I'm weak and defense is my fundamental need.
It smells like rotting corpses that are starting to decay,
but I love my slimy armor and I wear it to this day.

 

Yes, contests! I'm sorry if my pics seems amateur. My post was going to be a hybrid, but I'll just post this as a description and then create a story. Descriptions aren't stories... are they?

The Art part to my entry: Lizard Bones!

Here's the Story Entry


My armour concept is called Lizard Bones.
Lizard Bones serves as a mount, armour, creature and weapon packed into one and is restricted to higher-level players. Here's why:

He's got Attitude...
Mr. Lizard Bones is a living, "breathing" suit of bones that has a mind of his own. Since he has existed well before any recorded experiences of space travel, it would always be safe to assume that he has very little patience for any race regardless of their prestige. Amateur Starbounders simply can't adorn this kind of armor because its power comes from the amount of health (max.health) the player has. He shows a preference for higher levels and will go so far as to expel his wearer should they not be up to standards. Steadfast yet quick to get involved in fights, Lizard Bones is a veteran fit for veteran Starbounders.

He's got Style...
The colour of Lizard Bones can change to match the colour of his wearer's eyes. The fireballs themselves also change colour, and have a small chance of generating elemental damage based on that specific hue. The colour chosen for Lizard Bones will stay the same throughout all his forms, and will also remain permanent. Due to the unique circumstances presented in unique races, the shape of the armour and the size/length of the weapons themselves can change accordingly for best results.

He's got Power...
The player can create duplicates of themselves to serve as a shield when fighting multiple baddies at once. Lizard Bones can power weapons with a purple flame which allows the player to cast random sizes of fireballs without using much magic energy at all. The purple fireballs cast can easily convert into dragon wings, scythe weapons and speed/attack/health buffers depending on the buttons pressed. As an armor Lizard Bones has very high resistance and durability, and if detached he deals one last (powerful) blow to the enemy before dissipating.

Most, Importantly:
He's got Use...
The most important feature of Mr.Lizard Bones is his ability (as armour) to grant a fairly long time for adventuring in space. Being a long-time resident of the immense black frontier, he has gained mastery over movement under such conditions and subsequently passes this ability onto his wearer. The appearance of Lizard Bones changes very little when in space save for an aura resembling the player's eye colour, and the only stat change is his speed (L.B. does very well in space environments). Because Lizard Bones is a multi-purpose tool, there are more open spots for the player to freely equip themselves, making this suit of armour a must-have for thrifty (but high-leveled, mind you) adventurers.

Lizard Bones is an uber-rare item/creature that can be found on random planets throughout Starbound. Though uber-rare, he is well worth it when there is a universe to be explored and very little time to be wasted!

HERE IT IS Five hours, three drafts, and on finished copy later (Not to mention the dreaded hand cramps) I have finally completed it! Hurray!

Space ranger suits.
The 1st one is simply super strong leather studded with magically imbuned diamond.
All rounded defence.

2nd one is the pop top version, made with pop top leather and with gems imbuned with their essensse.
Stronger defence against melee, other defence stats are lower, heavier (?).

3rd one is Snow leather with magically imbuned rubys.
Negates the effects of low temperature environments, provides light around the player so you don't need torches etc.

There you go.

Your Tungsten and Lanthanum armours look cool. Choose between those two!

 

Daww if I had to chose I'd go with Tungsten. I really like the mask

 

Here's my entry:

"The" Tank
-You can't simply spell it "Tank armor", you have to say "THE, Tank armor". It's made out of the most resistant metal out there, that means it's invincible. It's pretty heavy and slow however, BUT, it comes with an awesome-time-slowing-buster-thingie we all love! And it comes with shining sunglasses, who doesn't like sunglasses?
